    Hi all

Sitting here with cup of tea & women's 4 x 100 m final about to start - bliss. I can't wait until the mens final later.

I managed a run today but it all felt wrong and I had to cut it short as knee started to play up. OH is working today so Mum had a bacon sarnie waiting for me :). I've done a pile of ironing and made my lunch for tomorrow.

Only 2 more weeks and I will be on holiday :)

    Hi all

Hump day is almost done and dusted and I'm sliding down the other side to the weekend:).

I'm been relatively good on the spendy front.

Counselling is working - I only had 1 mini binge on Sat and since then I've caught myself before I spiralled into a binge. It will take a bit of learning but I'm heading in the right direction.

I have loads of things coming up which I'm looking forward to. I've been so busy in work and it has been quite stressful so looking forward to lying on a beach for 2 weeks.

    Morning everyone:)

The weekend has almost arrived and that is 1 weekend closer to my hols.

I have updated my budgets and as you can see there isn't much left:o

    Budgets

    Food - £122/£150;
    Misc - £150/£150
    ;
    SFD - 8/20

I really don't need very much as it is a bank holiday and OH is still doing tons of overtime
    .

I'm off to see my counsellor this morning which is why I have time to catch up on diaryland. I've had a good week - yes I still panic and get nervous but I haven't reached for food to cope since last Sunday. I'm also thinking of starting a 21 day intuitive challenge. I tried it before but I wasn't ready. This could be a good time to start as I have the support of the counsellor and I'm going on holiday soon where I usually relax and just eat when I'm hungry naturally.

In the next few months I have lots of lovely things planned. I'm off to Turkey in a week for 10 nights. I'm heading to Italy at the end of Oct and I'm going to visit my sister in England in Nov. I plan on also visiting a really good friend in England hopefully by the end of the year but no later than January. I know I will not be adding much to my savings fund but I can start saving in earnest in January and try and save a bit before then but also enjoy my holidays.

I get paid next Wed and I think I will be getting a small pay increase but I'm grateful to be getting any increase. I will have to look at the budgets for Sept but will leave that until Tues when I get my pay slip. Sept will be strange with the budgets because of my hols.

Ok plan of attack for today -
    • Counsellor
    • Work
    • Lunch with friend
    • 1/2 day pm
    • Circuit class
    • Home - start bank hol weekend:D
  • Good luck today Munchin. Loving your positive posts.

Hi Greying - thanks for popping by:).

I also have to say thank you to 'Wantabetterlife' because I didn't think about counselling properly until you prompted me in the right direction.

Counselling is going so well - don't get me wrong it isn't all plain sailing and I'm taking it one day at a time but I'm recognising triggers and why they have happened. I am now able to recognise the trigger but not act on it so feeling good.

I can't wait until next weekend as I can start packing for my holibobs :)

I have to also show you this chocolate bar that is on limited edition here in N Ireland. Tayto are a NI company that make gorgeous but really strong flavoured cheese and onion crisps. They have come up with a chocolate bar which has their crisps in it. I tasted it this week and I think crisps and chocolate should stay separate but I know other people who think it is gorgeous.

On the money front - can pay day come any faster:o.

So now going to make a cup of tea and look forward to F1.

    Hi all

Sitting here with a good book and spending my bank holiday doing very little. I do have some of my holiday clothes in the wash but not planning on doing much else.

I hopefully get my pay slip tomorrow and should see how much of a pay increase I get - probably £20-£30.

I'm jotting down my money plans for Sept as I love a plan:).

    Payday - Wed 28th August

    Withdraw -
    • £50 Xmas savings
    • £60 Beauticians
    • £200 (change to Lira)
    • £40 exercise
    • £50 spending money for week

    Total = £400

I also have a budget of £30 to spend on my niece's birthday this weekend.

    Holiday bits to sort

    Suncream
    Bug repellant
    Boiled sweets for plane
    Rennies & headache tablets

I have to see if OH has travel insurance covered. He thinks that it is part of his house insurance coverage but he hasn't checked yet - despite repeated nagging on my part.

I would like to do a new SOA now that I'm debt free and my salary goes up tomorrow but I have a lot of spends the next few months (Italy & England trips) so I might leave it until the new year.

    Hi all

Quick update - I just got my payslip and my monthly pay increase is £16. I shouldn't complain as I didn't expect much but I had been secretly hoping it would have been nearer £30 than £20.

Oh well it will not be hard spending that money:)

    Morning world

Today is my last day in work for 3 weeks:j.

I withdrew my money yesterday to cover all my outgoings -
    • [STRIKE]£50 Xmas savings[/STRIKE]
    • £60 Beauticians -
    • [STRIKE]£40 exercise[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]£50 spending money for week[/STRIKE]
I had a nice money surprise this morning. I was putting money in envelopes and I lifted 1 of last months envelopes (kids swimming) and as we didn't do much this month and it was the summer hols there was £25 still in :T.

So I have a wee bit left in my purse - Spending money I'm starting with in my purse is £80.08.

I still have to buy suncream, bug spray etc but I have dug out a £5 voucher from Boots and I will be heading there today.

Plans today - work (expect to be very busy with trying to clear up)
  • Munchin - hope I'm not too late to wish you 'happy hols'. Hope Italy (have I got that right?) is glorious.

Hi Greying - thank you - not away yet and I'm off to Turkey.... but I will be going to Italy next month:o.

Ok I have so much to do this weekend. Obviously my case isn't going to pack itself (someone needs to invent a packing machine that not only packs but only selects clothes that you will actually wear:)).

This morning I'm going to the beauticians and I will stop at the charity shop to see what books they have. I'm taking my Mum & nephew to amusement place as he goes back to school on Monday.

So my plans for this weekend -
    • beauticians:)
    • buy suncream & bug spray
    • clean house top to bottom
    • print of tickets, insurance & car parking
    • pack
    • last minute shop with OH.
Thank goodness I'm going on my hols because I will need a rest after this weekend.:D
