    Morning world

Oh dear back to work today:(. I quite like being on leave:D.

So I managed to make it out for a run yesterday....eventually. I will not be giving Mr Bolt any worries that is all I can say but I ran 5 miles and felt good when I had finished. Good and bad knees both played up at various points but were fine by the end.

I popped into B&M bargains and spent £10.24 which I really didn't need to spend and then £6 in Asda.

Ok time to make my lunch and head to work.

    Morning world,

I can't wait to payday on Monday:D. Ok my travel expenses have finally turned up in my account so I will at least survive until Monday but I can finally make all my payments and I will officially be debt free:D.

I'm not going to declare until all the balances are sitting at zero and then I shall have a glass of red wine to celebrate - I know, mad party animal.

Ok I don't know when my next SFD is going to be, the payments I have lined up are =

    • Thurs - leaving lunch and contribution to present = £20?
    • Fri - Chinese with OH & wine
    • Sat - maybe SFD?? or dinner
    • Sun - SFD
    • Mon - pay all my debts :D
I'm working really close to home today and tomorrow and I don't need to be there until 10am so I get to plod round here until after 9:)

    Groceries: £127.40/£100:o
    Misc: £32.80/£40
    SFD: 11/20

    Morning world:D

So tired:( but I can't complain. I couldn't sleep last night because of the heat and the heavy feeling due to the thunder but I'm still not complaining as the good weather will be gone soon enough.

As I couldn't sleep I took advantage this morning and have done loads -
    • pile of ironing - done
    • clear out receipts/letters - done
    • cheque ready to send off to bank - done
    • sports bag packed for later - done
    • birthday pressie wrapped for nephew - done
I spent £11 yesterday on a colleagues leaving lunch but I still owe £5 for the pressie.

    Groceries: £127.40/£100:o
    Misc: £43.80/£40
    SFD: 11/20

    Morning world:D,

I can't believe how much I missed these diaries over the weekend. I love reading other peeps diaries and find it so motivational and I'm glad we've all come out the other side and MSE is back in action:).

So in MSE news, I have just made my final payment to Mr Stresco credit card. I might have messed it up a bit as I made a payment and then cancelled the direct debit but I'm not sure if I've cancelled the dd in time and there might be 2 payments going out:o. I will ring my bank in a bit. I'm not declaring that I'm debt free until my balances are all sitting at zero.

I'm due for a slight (very slight) pay increase in next months salary so it would probably be a good time to do a new SOA. I just need to survive the month of August as my money has just gone on my debts.

I think my first plans will be to find spending money for my holiday in Sept and I have another short in holiday in Oct that I need spending money for and then to pay for accommodation.

I have some long term goals I need to save for (see not putting it on credit card:)).

I would like a new kitchen and bathroom suite. I have precisely £0 in the budget and will probably need about £8000 for these things. I should get another 2 years out of my car but I need to budget for when the wheels fall of it so again I will save £6000 for that. I have no idea what the cost will be overall but I thought aiming to save £16000 over the next 2 years would be some achievement:).

  • Good luck Munchin :D Love your diary!

Hi SB, thanks for popping by and I've just been over to your diary to wish you all the best:).

So today I bit the bullet and rang a counselor about my ED issues. Last week I referred a member of staff to a counseling service we have in work to do with mental health issues. The service is free and independant and I had never thought of using them for myself - don't ask me why - I thought they wouldn't cover my issues:o. The girl I spoke to was lovely and rang me back with an appt for this Thursday. They offer appointments for 6 weeks and I feel great that I've made this contact.

I've checked my credit card balance to see if it is clear yet but it's not. I'm very impatient:D. I checked Topcashback and the money I was owed for purchasing my car insurance in April has finally tracked to my account:T. At this rate it looks like I could afford beans & cheese to go with my toast for the rest of the month:D.

August should be a very quiet month for me on the spending front and the general going out front. I'm helping out at a race next Tues and the sponsors are providing us with lunch and dinner (so saving money). I think I should have about £150 in travel expenses by the end of August. I will finally start putting money into savings from Sept.

Hopefully by the end of the year I will have the ED licked and a little savings pot on the go for my new kitchen & bathroom.

    Hi all

Today has been a good day. It still doesn't feel like I'm in debt free land but I'm sure it will come soon.

I managed an SFD today. I do have a blinding headache which I've kind of had for the last 2 days - probably all the thunder.

Not much other craic - going to bed early as shattered:)

    Hi all

Things to make me smile - found nephew (age 6) standing on my bed playing air guitar to a song he had found on his PSP. It was Guns and Roses - Paradise city, so I turned it on full blast on my cd player so he could truly appreciate their talent:D.
