Hi all
Oh I'm so tired - the heat is getting to me but I can't complain. Today was really productive -
- ran 5.5 miles
- ironing pile
- tidy house
- bake 2 banana loaves & a rhubarb crumble
- weed garden
- and go to river for walk with nephew.
I overspent yesterday -£48.82 on groceries but £15 of that is stuff I got for my Mum and OH and I know that there is no hope of getting it back. So I'm over the grocery budget already. I'm away next weekend so there will be money saved there but it's not looking good:)
Groceries: £106.40/£100
Misc: £22.66/£40
SFD: 7/200 -
Morning all
Today is going to be a spend day as I need to go to the chemist. I went down to the river yesterday with my nephew which involved walking through several overgrown fields. I was bit by cleggs which was really freaking me out as they are big and sore. I woke OH last night by my scratching in my sleep. I have counted 5 bites and they are driving me mad!!!
We are heading to Glenarm castle today as they are having a high land games thing. I'm not really that fussed but if I sit at home I will want to do something.

I had a really nice day out today:). We went to the highland games and they were great to watch. I've never been to the estate before so we had a tour of the house and then wandered round the gorgeous walled garden. I managed to bag some free nibbles.
I'm now a wee bit pink:)
So spends on day out - £7.40 odds at Castle & £1.99 cream for bites. Total spends so far £9.39
OH wants us to go out for one of his friends birthdays tonight and I'm hoping he will change his mind.

Hi Risin, good to see you back. I was keeping a wee eye on your diary for your triumphant return.:) Hope you are feeling much better.
Well things have been really busy these last few days. We went out for OHs mates birthday and it was ok but I didn't know anyone. Anyhow OH & I fell out - won't go into long details but basically I wasn't falling in line with his plans and he was drunk and I was sober. So the weekend could have gone better but we are friends again:) and he feels bad.
I was marshalling at an event last night which was great craic. I was a bit concerned as I live in the country and had to drive back from the other side of Belfast at midnight. Normally this doesn't fizz on me one bit but there is a lot of trouble at the minute. As I was going out of Belfast I stuck to the motorway and at a roundabout the police vans and water cannons were all lined up the whole way round waiting to be deployed. I felt so sorry for those police waiting to go into the trouble and I was heading home to my bed. Also slightly freaked me out.
So on the spending front I'm doing ok. I have no spendy plans today or tomorrow. I'm away this weekend and the money is coming out of my holiday pot.0 -
Morning all
Well yesterday was a spendy day but it was part of my holiday weekend plans. I took my Mum & nephews to the beach. I did pack a picnic but we went to the amusements first. Of course that was a fortune. In total I spent just under £40 as that is all I took with me and I had change left in my purse.
Today I'm heading to Donegal for my friend's birthday. We should be back on Monday at some point. I have budgeted and put money aside so I have 120 euros for my share of foods and accommodation. My friend's have arranged a bbq/picnic on the beach - frugal sign of the times but also fantastic in this hot weather. I have my factor 30 with me but probably need factor 50:o.
I've done a quick calculation and I'm still on track to pay of all my debt at the end of the month and live on beans in August.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all
I had an amazing time while I was away this weekend. The weather was fantastic, the beach bbq was surprisingly edible:). We finished of the evening listening to a band while overlooking dolphins in the sea.......we were still at home in Ireland!!!!!!.
I had a great time with my friends and family.
We drove home last night as OH is working today. I have mini pile of washing to put on and then another mini pile of ironing to do. I have today and tomorrow on leave so I'm going to take it easy today and then I have a list of jobs for tomorrow.0 -

Hi all
As you know I'm an ex bulimic but I struggle with my eating at times. I have no desire to go back down that road of bulimia but I'm trying to stick to intuitive eating and when I feel wobbly I fall back on structured eating.
I've been re-reading my self help programme and I've copied a wee bit about intuitive eating and will add it here so that it is easy for me to refer to (and help anyone else who struggles).
Intuitive eating
- Remind yourself constantly that NO food will make you fat, as long as it is eaten in moderation. Moderation means eating when you are hungry and stopping before you are uncomfortably full.
- Don’t feel obligated to clean your plate by eating every crumb.
- Treat hunger as a friend, not an enemy and learn to use it as a guide to what, when and how much you should eat.
- Pause in the middle of a meal or snack. Ask yourself are you still hungry?
- Eat slowly and pay attention.
- It’s not about worrying about what you should and shouldn’t have… It’s about eating what your body FEELS like.
- The three rules to intuitive eating are: 1. Eat what you feel like eating 2. Eat when you are hungry 3. Stop when you are full.
0 - Remind yourself constantly that NO food will make you fat, as long as it is eaten in moderation. Moderation means eating when you are hungry and stopping before you are uncomfortably full.

Morning world
I'm trying to talk myself into going for a run. According to my training plan I have to do a longish run today and I will do it but tempted to put it off until later in the day.
So yesterday was Day 1 of intuitive eating - I'm trying to do a 90 day challenge and after that the plan is just to carry on with it as my new lifestyle.
I have about £13 left in my bank account and £20 in my purse until next Monday, so things will be a bit tight:o.
