Morning all
I'm back from Italy and have spent this morning catching up on threads:). I did go over budget £308.78 spent but that was because of a 1 stupidly expensive meal out and a trip to Venice (so worth it:D). I had a fantastic time, we went to Verona, Venice and Lake Garda and packed a lot in to a short time. We walked for miles and miles - I'm home feeling relaxed with a stronger resolution to enjoy myself more, visit more places and I can't do that with no money.
I really missed OH - which is a good sign:blushing:
I have just printed out this weeks healthy eating list and need to see what groceries I need to buy today and get the house back into some state of order. I have no diesel in my car so that will need to be rectified shortly or I will be driving on fumes.
I've tweaked my budgets a wee bit and am ready to batten down the hatches:).

Hi WBL,
We were heading to Verona but managed to squeeze in a trip to Venice. It was flooded and we had to use the walk ways in St Mark's square. I was a bit like you in that I still expected to see roads somewhere and was surprised to see everything being done by boat.
Expensive but an amazing place and I would love to go back as I'm sure I missed a lot of stuff:)

Morning all
I feel a bit blah today but hoping that my Pilates class at 11 will knock it out of me. I've been eating a bit more carp the last 2 days so it is probably that - need to try harder.
Money news - my sister who owed me £200 has paid me:D. I had my doubts that I would ever see it again so quite delighted.

Ay up Munchin - all sounding very positive on here
Glad you had a wonderful trip to Italy. I note that you've not mentioned your mission impossible style reccy to meet up with Gorgeous George - so I take it it is all 'hush hush', on a strictly *need to know* basis and went well......;)
Good news about the return of funds too :T

Hi Greying - sob sob sob - no gorgeous George
I managed to get the grappling hook, balaclava, gorgeous Parisian style stripey top, swag bag etc onto my Aer Lingus flight without anyone batting an eyelid:D (Aer Lingus have a 20kg luggage allowance:D).
I set off to Lake Garda with my plans under my arm (decided not to wear the balaclava as it was a bit itchy). If I had done my research I would have known that Gorgeous George lives in Lake Como. I knew I should have done more research:rotfl::rotfl:
I consoled myself with the most amazing hot chocolate in Lake Garda. I've never had a hot chocolate where the spoon actually stood up in it.0 -
Hi all
I've actually had a really productive day so far which is pretty good for a Sunday. I cleaned the living room, kitchen, hall and my car.
I've have also managed to list 3 items on ebay. It's been a long time since I've sold anything on ebay as the last time I got stung for postage. However I do love the buzz when you see people watching your item.

I felt pants yesterday but today I feel pretty good - I'm starting to think that what I eat makes such a difference.
I'm now watching F1 and I'm expecting my sister and her kids in another hour.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Munchin I certainly think that you got the better deal with the hot choc - it does indeed sound amazing :DSuspect Mr C is possibly vastly overrated anyways

Morning all
I'm a bit sore this morning which is because of an intense exercise class on Mon (I was the only one that turned up at class so I ended up with a 1 on 1 session - good but sore).
Money front - I had a spend yesterday £4.20 on ham and soup (should plan better:o). I also managed to claim some travel expenses but when it gets paid I will add it to Nov's salary.
Finally I'm still watching ebay - my items have watchers:), I just need bidders. I'm keeping an eye on a dress for myself - basically I sold the same dress last year and have regretted it since so hoping to bid it back at a reasonable price (cheap) and make it a negative spend with the money I get from ebaying stuff. Fingers crossed:D
