    Morning world:D

I'm sitting here in dressing gown drinking coffee. I don't really need to watch the weather forecast as I can hear it battering against the windows.:( I've got to pop into another office before work and as it doesn't open to 9.30 there is no point in me leaving early.

I was checking my bank account this morning and I should be fine to the end of the month. I tend to spend my money as soon as it comes in and then panic but I seem to be getting a hang of this budgeting. We got another pension update from work last week and basically it was saying that they will be taking more from my salary. Don't they know that I don't have 'more' for them to take?????

On a separate note I want to go to the Maldives for my 40th which is in December this year. Now the Maldives isn't cheap (VVVVVV expensive:eek:) and even if I manage to save up the money to go I'm not sure if I could actually spend that amount. However I'm only 40 once and it would be amazing to finish the year on a gorgeous beach. I'm going to have to start saving and keep an eye out for deals.
I can't really start saving properly until I get this debt paid off.

Lunch yesterday was lovely and OH was saying that we should do it more often.

Ok time to go away and figure out how I'm going to save about £3000 by Xmas:D

I've signed up for a ED recovery programme. I just want to keep myself focused so that I don't have any slip ups. It cost £30 (they have to cover costs) but I don't mind as I 've wasted so much more than that over the years.

That sounds good Munchin .... it's easy to slip back into old habits so anything with suggestions / tips on how to deal with things is def worth going to!

Ohhhhh *sigh* *glazed look appearing on Rising face*:o - that sounds wonderful!:)

Please do something nice ..... my 40th was unfortunately a huge anti-climax - really wish something had happened!

Hi Risin, thanks for your post. I'm determined that I will be on a beach come December. It might not be the Maldives as it could be just a bit too expensive but Mexico is looking good :D. I would have to fly out of London no matter where I go as holidays out of Belfast are a bit limitied. I still have to check flights out of Dublin which might look a bit better. I could spend a day or 2 in London visiting friends and then head on. The decision will be made based on the amount of money I have by then as I'm not going back into debt for it:).

OH thinks I'm mad planning it so early but I will have time to save up and something to look forward to.

I really should be getting into the shower as today is going to be a busy day.

    Update on money front -

    Money left:

    Food + life - £80.20
    Diesel -£68.31
    Kid's swimming - £30

The diesel only has to take me to the 21st of the month but it could still be a bit tight. Food and life will also be a bit tight but I've had to cope with less:o.

    Have a good day everyone:D

    Hi all

I've been good today and made myself a big batch of carrot & lentil soup. OH is working today and tomorrow so I basically have the weekend to myself.

I spent £20 in the shops today for the week which isn't too bad. However I've just spent £78 online in Next. I have a promotion interview coming up and I tried on my 2 suits that very rarely get an airing. Mmmmmm they must have shrunk in the wash:o. If I get the promotion then the extra pay will be worth it. If not at least I have a suit that fits. I'm ok with the shoes as my Mum gave me a voucher at Xmas.

OH is buying dinner tonight which is lovely. Tomorrow I'm going for a run and after that I'm going to start preparing for the interview. Knowing me I will find plenty of ways to put it off but once I get my head in the right place I will be ok.

  • *sigh* Mexico *sigh* - that sounds great too!:)

:T to OH for getting dinner ... I do miss having one now & then!

Suit shrinking seems to be catching :o - I had to buy a new one a few months ago for an interview .... best of luck & fingers crossed & all that!:)

My wardrobe has an infestation of calories, when its dark, they sneak out & sew all the seams in my clothes a little bit tighter. Check out the corners of your wardrobe for these beasties !
Its just a bad day, Not a bad life ..

Hi Mara_uk7, Oh I laughed myself silly at your comment:D. I knew it wasn't me:D. I'm heading into my wardrobe now to see if I can catch the beasties in action. Risin - I think you should go look in case you have the same infestation:rotfl:

I did my run this morning in our local forest (we have delusions of grandeur in our town - it's a dirt path with trees but we call it a forest:)). Anyhow it was pretty mucky but my knees held out and I felt fantastic by the end.

I also sat down for a whole hour:o to come up with interview ideas. I'll totally stress out once I get my date and time for my interview but it's good to have a few ideas that I can work on.

Tomorrow I'm on a 1/2 day:D but usually I end up not getting home until about 3 but it's better than nothing.

Lent starts this Wed but at least I can look forward to Easter at the end:)
  • Ohhhh myyyyyyy ..... donned suitable protective clothing, breathing equipment etc etc ......

    There's a SERIOUS INFESTATION in my wardrobe!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi all

Having a bad day today:) but as I always look at the positive side then I know it could have been a lot worse.

I've been in ED recovery for over a year now but I have bad days now and again. Today I put on a pair of trousers that were a tad snug. I felt nervy all day. I had a lunchtime meeting and didn't get out of the office until 3 so I didn't eat lunch until after 3.30. Once I started eating I couldn't stop eating junk. My head was already pounding and I felt fat and disgusting. Now I know that I'm not fat and disgusting. I know that it's just my bad head talking so I'm in bed early.

In hindsight I can see all the things that led to my binge (which is nothing like it was in the old days). Feeling uncomfortable, sore head, lack of food, lack of water. So tomorrow I'm going to have to ensure that I stick with my structured eating plan & I drink lots of water:). I'm just putting my thoughts down here so that I can put it behind me.

I read a wee mantra today -, "no matter what you're doing, always ask yourself what's in your best interest". Now I need to keep reminding myself of this when the wee gremlins decide to show up again:D

Ahhh:eek: weather forecast is giving snow for tomorrow again. Are we not near the summer yet:D

Well today I'm still in a funk. Just tired. I went to bed super early yesterday and about 1am I started listening to gentle music to see if that would knock me out. I woke up this morning twisted up in my sheets and freezing as I had managed to fire the duvet as far across the room as is possible:o

Obviously something is going on in my head (don't know what??) but I'm hoping the appearance of my bed means that I won the fight:D

"Content (ment) makes poor men rich; discontent makes rich men poor". - Benjamin Franklin

I'm starting structured eating again today. Well I've been doing it on and off for over a year. However its time to beat the binge and let the urges pass.

So my plans are to write down my structured plan every morning. Attend exercise class to get those endorphins up:). To spend a wee part of the day clearing my head and appreciating what I've got and to stop beating myself up. I wouldn't say bad things to my friends so I shouldn't say them to myself.

Ok back to the money front as this is the point of my diary:o.
On the money front yesterday was an NSD:). Today I need to go to the chemist as I need headache tablets. I still have the headache lingering from yesterday but it might pass by itself.

Lent starts tomorrow so I'm going to go to mass in the morning at 6.40am:eek: for the next 6 weeks (apart from weekends when I get a wee lie in). It's only 20 mins in the morning and it's a wonderful time to gather my thoughts.

    Have a good day everyone.
