Morning everyone:D
It's payday today:). Ok my money has packed it's wee suitcase and it's ready to head off in various directions but at least for today it's mine:rotfl:.
So the budget for March is like this -
Groceries & entertainment - £200
Diesel - £[STRIKE]180[/STRIKE] - £124
Hair & Beauty (aka cover grays) - £40
Kids swimming - £30
Clothes - £30
Presents - £50
Dentist - £30
It's quite a spendy month with all the birthdays and I have at least 1 proper night out.
OK time to get to work:)

Hi all
My sister has kindly volunteered to dye my hair. I have to buy the colour etc but even so it will save me a good bit. She was a trained hairdresser yonks ago and only does her own hair now but I didn't want to ask her to do mine as she is so busy. She offered so extra money towards the debt:).
I was at the cashpoint today so my envelopes are now ready for the month:). I've been a bit eager and have updated my signature a bit early but the payments will go out on Friday.
Ok lunch ready for tomorrow. Circuits tomorrow night and a fun day in work ahead:(

Hi all

Groceries & ent - £[STRIKE]200[/STRIKE]-£186.81
Diesel - [STRIKE]£180[/STRIKE]/£124
Hair & Beauty (aka cover grays) - £40
Kids swimming - £[STRIKE]30[/STRIKE]/£19.10
Clothes - £30
Presents - £50
I've got my interview appointment for the 14th March. I spent today trying to reduce the amount of waffle I have penned to manageable sound bites.....I'm still on 12 pages:eek:. I'm meeting with a friend on Mon who has loads of experience with interviews so hoping she can point me in the right direction.
I'm terrible because I get so worked up about these things and really they are not worth it. However on the positive side my interview will be over before the long St Patrick's day weekend:D
It will be ages before I know if I get the job and as their are tons interested I probably won't get it but the money would be that much better and I could put it towards my debt....oh wishful thinking:)

Hi all
I know I've been a bit MIA recently but it's because I haven't got near diary land because of this interview. I have all my examples done and now I just need to learn them but every time I think I'm ready to start I tweek them again.
Spending I'm not sure about as I haven't kept a good record:o:o. However come Thurs I will sit down and work out where I'm at.
Groceries & ent - £[STRIKE]200[/STRIKE]/£186.81
Diesel - £[STRIKE]180[/STRIKE]/£79
Hair & Beauty (aka cover grays) - [STRIKE]£40[/STRIKE]/£36.50

Hi all
I'm back:). I feel that I bombed in my interview. I was so nervous and panicked and ended up sweaty and confuddled:o. I wont know the outcome for months (I have a fair idea of the outcome and it aint good) but this is me and I'm just trying to put it out of my head but still just disappointed as I had worked so hard.
Anyhow on to happier things. Car payments are gone:T. I should expect my rates quote during the Easter week (heaven forbid the council let us enjoy Easter). I know that isn't a happy thing but I have the money sitting in my savings and for the first time ever I will pay my rates in full and get the discount - thank you MSE:D:D
I need to pay for my car insurance by 08th April and the best price quoted so far is just under £300 which is expensive but £150 cheaper than last year. I had a wee prang (not my fault) in 2007 so that always added to the cost but now it no longer applies.
I have to organise my Mum's big birthday and I've booked dinner for the family. I have 3 birthdays next weekend (2 kids & 1 adult). I have the OHs birthday in April as well as my Mums. It's a lot of birthdays but the challenge is to find cheapish but lovely birthday presents.
Oh dear rambling on this morning but it's nice not to have to revise.
On the spending front - it's ok in that I have money to last me to the end of the month but I stopped keeping my wee notebook so I'm not sure where the little £s escaped to. However back on track today and I'm just lumping the rest of the months spends in one category.
Spends for everything - £220
Ok I don't have any money but I'm away to look at holidays in Sept.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all,
Just sitting here waiting for OH to get dressed then we're hitting Mr Ts. I'm also going to buy my niece some clothes for her birthday and my friend has just had a new baby so I will have to buy an outfit for him. Money money money:o
I still have another niece to buy for but if I don't get a chance today I've got the rest of the week.
I'm also going house hunting with OH. Ok it's not for me but my friend has a house for sale and due to divorce etc it's going really cheap. OH was looking for another property to rent. See OH is good with money whereas I'm a bit pants. I want to clear my debt so that he doesn't know how useless I am.
I spent last night looking at holidays but there isn't the same choice from Belfast so it's either Canaries, Spain or Turkey in Sept. I love Turkey but OH wants a change.
So hopefully I'm going to have a NSD today.

Sure the interview will have gone better than you thought ...... bit pants you don't find out for ages though.
Hope you manage to find a nice holiday .... I've not been away for yearsand my passport expired in Jan this year - I didn't bother renewing it as realised I hadn't even used that one!:o Opps!
Take careGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -
Hi Risin, thanks for your comments. Hope you start feeling better (keeping an eye on you on your forum). 1 debt done - 2 to go
.
Well this weekend was a total wash out. I picked up a stomach bug and I've had to visit the loo on more than one occasion at high speed:o IYKWIM. I had leave booked today to enjoy a long weekend but at least I don't have to take a sick day.
I counted all my £2 coins and I had £226 in the tub. I sent Mum to bank and she paid in £220 for me. I paid £120 towards my laptop and gave Mum £100 for her birthday. Mum has a big birthday next month and she's going on holiday with her friends so this will cover some of her expenses. I know the money could have gone towards my debt but this has delighted Mum and that is what counts. So I've updated my signature and I'm back to £6 in my £2 pot.
I've got £682 left on my card and £770 owed to the Credit Union but the plan is to make 2 more payments to the Union and then use savings to pay the balance of. So the next debt cleared will be in 2 months:D.
Debts to clear -
Car loan - [STRIKE]start March[/STRIKE] - done:D
Credit Union - start May
C card - [STRIKE]start June[/STRIKE] now start Sept
Computer - start July.
April is going to be a tight month as I have car insurance and rates to pay but when is it not a tight month:D

Morning everyone
It is Spring and it is snowing like mad here and it's freezing:eek:. Hope everyone is wrapped up warm. I'm keeping the heating of for as long as possible.
Yesterday was a nightmare getting home from work. We shut the office an hour early as the people that share the same site as us had gone home and I was worried that we couldn't get the car out of the carpark with the snow.
I'm sitting here with F1 on tv and a steaming mug of tea. Payday is this Wed:D and I have all my budgets sorted for April -
Groceries & odds - £200
Diesel - [STRIKE]£180[/STRIKE]/£40
Exercise - £40
Kid's swimming - £30
I just need my salary to arrive to put it in my envelopes. I have £20.27 in purse to last me until Wed.
I'm going to sit on the computer and find myself a holiday in Sept. I've had enough of cold miserable weather and need something to look forward to.
I will be back in a bit if I find anything.0 -
Back again
Negative - debt is up. Positive - Holiday is booked for Sept:D:D:T
I've booked 10 nights in Turkey in a brand new hotel at my favourite resort and it is all inclusive for £700 each which I'm quite happy with. I paid the deposit which was £781 on my credit card but it's 0% for a while yet. I have £200 in my holiday savings so I just have to find the other £581. OH is paying his bit & transfers nearer the time. Really excited now and yes I can keep that up until Sept.
I've also checked out airport parking while we are away and that is approx £48 and the transfer is £82 from hotel to resort return. I would be happy to pay less and squish into a bus but OH freaks out about this and insists on a private taxi - he pays so I won't argue.
So credit card will be paid off at the beginning of Sept and I will be debt free before my holiday:). This debt free date keeps moving:o
It's still cold and miserable outside but now I can look at my holiday website:D
