Hi Risin, - I set the radio last week to come on at the start of the Australian race but then I fell asleep half way through:o. So today I have been out and about but I have kept the car radio of and I've avoided all the news so that I can sit here at 2 and watch the race. It isn't the same as watching it live but it will have to do. Did you manage to get up?

Ohhhh that did make me chuckle ..... I did exactly the same thing!:o

Don't think I've much chance of seeing tomorrow's live either .... 6am:eek: - will see!

Good to hear you motivated about your debt busting ..... go gal.... you can do it!:D
    Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
    2016 Sell: £125/£250

Hi Risin, Bahrain on Sunday - I love F1 season:). I think it is on at a normal time but maybe I'm looking at the time it starts in Bahrain rather than here?? I need a confuddled smiley.

I have another 2 hours overtime tomorrow:T. I think that is the last of the overtime. I have to pick my sis & hubby up at the airport, drop them home and head on into work. I'm going to be a busy girl tomorrow.

It's my Mum's birthday and we're having a dinner/party, I have venue booked but need to confirm final numbers. I should have done it today but it can wait until tomorrow. I have taxis ordered and paid for. I have my other sister on standby to do my tan, nails etc. I babysit for her at no charge so this is a good arrangement.

I paid my rates bill today all £799.60 of it. This is the first year that I've paid it in a lump sum and benefited from the discount. I also saved up over the year in a high interest account and got an extra £25 as well. MSE is great. I'm planning on taking savings out of my credit union to pay my credit union loan. My savings will take a dip but it doesn't matter as they are going towards debts. I wish they were going towards shoes:o

I had a great night out last night at a social dinner. We didn't win anything but we got a free meal and wine:). So that is a crash course on everything in Munchin land. I feel soo positive that I am sure to be heading for a crash soon:o

    Morning world,

I am on leave today and after a shockingly busy weekend it's time to do nothing:D. Well my Mum has me booked in to be her taxi today but that is grand.

Birthday party went really well and everyone had a good time. We were all home about 11. There had been plans to go on somewhere else but eventually everyone just headed home which was no bad thing as I woke up on Sunday morning with a clear head.

Oh is working today and woke me at 5am:eek: this morning thundering round the bedroom like an elephant.

I don't have many plans this coming week. I'm only in work 2.5 days:) which I can cope with. Its too late for any of my overtime to show up in this months salary but at least the travel will.

    Morning world,

It's pay day:). So budgets have been set for the month ahead -

    Groceries & odds - £200
Clothing - £47 (odds out of Next sale that I might return)
    Exercise - £40
    Kid's swimming - £30

My salary is down £16 this month because of increase in our pension contributions but it could have been a lot worse. If the change in the tax band hadn't happened I would have been down £60:eek:.

I'm of to the doctors now and then tomorrow I'm going to a new physio - honestly I'm falling to pieces:D. The physio is supposed to be amazing. I've been to loads and I'm hoping he is as good as people say.

It has just started to pour from the heavens but I need to be going now or I will be late for my appointment.

Have a good day everyone and thank goodness it is pay day:)

    Hi all

I'm really stressed today - I promised a friend I would do a short leg of the marathon (3.5 miles) as they didn't have anyone else:o. I thought my hip would be ok for tomorrow but it seems to have got worse & I am soooo worried about letting people down. I should be done by 11am tomorrow. There isn't much I can do about it now.

So on better news - I earned £20 yesterday and I managed another 3 hours overtime last weekend. I think that is the end of the overtime now but I am looking forward to my pay packet at the end of the month. Next Sat I'm going to the Credit Union and will use some savings to pay of my loan and that will be 2 debts down and 2 to go (1 of those is really tiny :)).

Holiday front - the hotel I have booked is now opened and it looks gorgeous. I can see people lying on my sunbed :D

I am going to up the credit card payment next month and this should make a massive dent in the debt - well that is the plan.

I have been using a money app on my phone to track my spending but I think the old fashioned notebook is better as I feel its more accountable so I will dig it out of the drawer today and start again.

I think that is everything for this morning. I will check in tomorrow after the run. Wish me luck:)

    Hi all,

The race is over:). My hip and knee did give up the ghost but I managed to make it to the end before the real pain kicked in so I am delighted that it's done & I did enjoy it. I've decided that it is a lesson learned and if I'm not happy/ready about doing something then I won't do it. I will probably have to rest my hip for a wee while before trying that running thing again:).

I have another bank holiday at the end of the month and hopefully I can get the benefit of it:)

So far today has been an NSD and I've done very little round the house but it can keep.

    Morning MSE world:),

I'm on a half day today and I'm starting late so things are pretty good. I took nephew & niece swimming last night so today I have no plans except for a large glass of red wine this evening:).

On the spends front I'm going shopping today:o but I'm after some new work out gear. I've been wearing the same clothes for years and what was blue is now grey. Obviously I'm going to shop around and hopefully nothing else will jump into my trolly.

My best buddy is organising a beach party for her birthday in July so I will have to book accommodation for that. So another wee expense to slow down my debt clearance but it shouldn't knock my plans too much and it will be a great night and worth it. I will have to keep an eye out for a gorgeous but inexpensive birthday present as well.

In general things are pretty good. I have wobbly days like everyone but I'm 3/4s of the way up this debt mountain, I have my flag in rucksack and can't wait to hoist it:D. I'm eating healthier and exercising more and feeling great. Work has its moments but when doesn't work.

    Morning MSE world,

Ok - Credit Union loan is officially gone:j. I now have my credit card to pay & the remainder of my laptop. I'm still on target to be debt free by Sept... maybe August:D

I've joined the new "debt free in 100 days" challenge and to keep me on the straight and narrow I will post all spends on here. I know I say that at least once a month but I'm soooo close:D.

I did pop to shops for 3/4 joggers but they were about £25. I got a pair on the net last night for £4.99:)

    Spends front -

    Groceries & odds - £126.78 (bit tight I know:o)
    Kid's swimming - £18

Today I will pop to shops as I need something for tea tonight and tomorrow. I have planned my meals for the week ahead so I'm ok for groceries for the rest of the week.

I have very little plans today but tomorrow I have to be up at about 4am:eek: to take my Mum and her friends to the airport and then I have bootcamp at 8am. There is no point in going back to bed as I wont sleep anyway. I would like to do a bit of batch cooking for the week ahead as I will be working late all week and will be starved when I get home.

I will also be watching F1:D

    Hi all

Quick update on spends today. I went to Sainsburys and the butchers. OH gave me £20 towards groceries as he needed some bits & bobs - so my own money spent in Sainsbugs = £15.48

    Spends remaining -

    Groceries & odds - £111.30
    Kid's swimming - £18

I don't think I need to spend anymore money this week on groceries (maybe milk).

I'm working late all week and again I don't think there are any spends required until next Sat - so fingers and toes crossed that I get a week of NSDs:D
