Morning world,
Quick update as I'm heading to the airport to get my sis:D. Outside the car is covered in snow and my laneway is really really steep. I don't want to wake OH up to drive my car down the hill so wish me luck. I wish there was a knees knocking together smiley.
Money front still looking ok. I've busted my groceries budgetbut NSDs & diesel doing ok. Proper update tomorrow if I survive the hill of terror:)

Hi all
I survived the trip to the airport as the roads weren't as bad as I had thought:). Relief. My circuit class was cancelled because of the snow which was sort of good but I actually missed it.
Anyway I've been doing a bit of planning and as you know I'm not great at sticking to them but I'm trying to work out the earliest I will be debt free:D so these are the payments I plan on making over the next 6 months:D.
So my debts at the minute are -
1) Car payments £552- Feb £276/March £276 = debt free March
2) Card £626 – Feb -£50/ March £50/ April £50/ May £100/ June £376 (final payment June:D)
3) CU £940 – Feb £85/ Mar £85/ April £85/ May £85/ June £100 (final payment June). I will transfer £500 from CU savings to CU debt and I should then have this debt cleared.
4) £352= I've got £136 in £2 coins already but I will pay the remainder from my salary in July.

Hi all
First day back in work all done and dusted. There was really heavy snow up at work which was a surprise because it had cleared really quickly at home. Lots of staff complaints etc but it will calm down when the snow melts.
I got my monthly credit card statement (diesel & groceries) and I got £50 cash back this month :T.
I also made some sugar free muffins yesterday and they were quite nice if I do say so myself:p. I'm starting to get back into baking and I'm enjoying myself. I stopped baking as this was an ED trigger for me. I'm continually surprised by the amount of things that I put on hold in my life because of my ED. I'm now watching the Comic Relief bake off:)
Today was an NSD and I think tomorrow will be the same.:D

Mini rant:mad:
My poor Mum has been getting letters for this guy who lives about 1/4 mile down our road. He left his wife etc etc and moved in with his parents. About a year ago Mum received some mail for him which had a note on it saying "doesn't live here try 31 xxxxx". More mail has arrived for him and it was obvious it was debt collectors. Mum has returned all the post and wrote on it "not at this address". I know you are not supposed to open post but she knew that one of the letters was from the tax man so she rang them. The taxman finally got the message and she hasn't had anymore letters from them. However the other letters kept on coming but she didn't mention them until today. The bailiffs arrived yesterday and now she is worried sick. The bailiffs were very courteous & apologised immediately. How many times does she have to return something saying not at this address?????????:mad::mad:. I know that debt collectors believe everyone is lying but my Mum even put on the letter the correct address as she was so fed up.
I've got some of the letters and I'm going to write to them tomorrow (I'm not paying their stupid premium rate number). I think if I threaten them with the Office of Fair trading it might work but I doubt it.
Ok rant over. It does give me a taste of what life is like for a lot of people who do owe money but have no way of paying.

Hi all
Yeah we're nearly in February:D - pay day on Tues and the start of a new set of holidays:).
I actually have money left in my bank account but it has a few wee homes to go to in February. I have 2 birthdays and I have to buy new wiper blades for the car.
So the plans for Feb on the budget front are as follows -
Groceries & Entertainment - £220
Diesel - £150
Gifts - £30
NSDs - 0/25
I know that I will be paying other things such as physio but these are budgeted for and set which I can't change. I can only play with the above.
I've really got into the swing of NSDs which I hope to continue into Feb.
I've dug out my old spending diary. I am using app but the paper diary gives me a better monthly view.
Time to go find some lunch:D

Ohhh can you tell me where you got the recipe for the sugar free muffins?
I'm just starting to learn to bakeand am making progress with my muffins
but they're not sugar free! (OK just now but when I go back to fat club would be great to be able to still have them!)
So ... July's your DF month then?
That's going to be here in no time :j (especially if the rest of the year keeps disappearing as quickly as January has )
Is it the celebrity bake off you've been watching?
I saw a couple of them earlier in the week and ... OMG I've not laughed as much at anything for YEARS :T it's fab!
Must dash - running really behind today!
Have a good weekGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -
Hi Risin - I got the muffin from NSKs thread at -http://allrecipes.com.au/recipe/9698/no-sugar-added-banana-blueberry-wholemeal-muffins.aspx. I think that is the right link. I added a wee bit of cooking apple to sweeten them up and they were quite nice.
I love the Great British Bake off. I wish I could cook like that but practice makes perfect.
I get paid tomorrow and I'm tempted to update my signature but the direct debits won't go out until Friday so I will try to hold off until Sat:).
I have nothing exciting planned at the minute. I'm in work all week:( and no meetings to break it up.0 -
Hi all,
I've had a good look at the budgets for February and things are a bit tighter than I had hoped but I'll have to get on with it.
Food Budget - £120
Diesel - £180 (No public transport)
Eating out - £30 (Hopefully celebrating nephews exams:))
Gifts - £10
SFD's - 20
It's ridiculous that I spend more money on diesel than anything else.
My food budget covers take aways with OH and just about everything else.
I cracked and updated my signature as nearly all my debts go out tomorrow. Only 1 more car payment to go:T

Morning world:D
I just realised last night that I will have more savings next month than debt:). However this will be a short term thing as my rates and car tax will be going out in April/May time.
I've signed up for a ED recovery programme. I just want to keep myself focused so that I don't have any slip ups. It cost £30 (they have to cover costs) but I don't mind as I 've wasted so much more than that over the years.
I don't have loads of plans today - work & exercise. Tomorrow I'm away marshalling at a race (freezing my butt off). Sunday I'm heading out for a nice lunch with family.
I guess I better get dressed and head to work.0 -
Morning world
I had a great day yesterday. It is the start of our running season for me. The race was well supported but the hut where I was taking registrations was freezing as per usual. This year I came prepared hat, scarf & fingerless gloves (need to use computer) but my fingers were still freezing. Doesn't matter as I enjoyed it.
I'm sitting here ready for bootcamp. My dodgy knee is playing up but I will do what I can.
Today we're heading out for a carvery which I'm looking forward to.
I need to sit down and try and work out where I'm going to find all these NSDs from this month. I'm fine Sun - Thurs but then Fri & Sat the wheels fall off:o
Have a great day everyone:D
