    Morning everyone:),

I'm up super early as I had a slot in the Next sale. I know - sad:o. I wanted to get some work tops and clothes for nephew no 2 who's birthday is in January. Apart from a cardigan & blouse everything I had noted down yesterday is gone (a new tote bag slipped into my cart which wasn't planned:o). I got nephew no 4 (I have a lot of nephews) some jeans as he is 8 in Feb. Spends £32.50 but not counted as may not keep it all. Gone are the days of spending over £100 in Next. I think that is because a) I don't have it & b) I don't want it:D. Thanks MSE:).

OH and I went out for a nice Indian last night which was good. His niece popped round to visit when we got home so all was good. My brother and sister have left me a present each under the Xmas tree at home. I don't get Xmas presents from them as they all have kids but I do get birthday presents :D

So I was a busy bee yesterday and really pleased -
    • hit Mr T and went halfers with OH but then he only took £20 of me:D
    • hoovered and cleaned out car
    • popped round to friend with baby present
    • cleaned kitchen, living room, bathroom & hall.
I felt shattered but really pleased once everything was done. Today is my usual mass visit but then I want to clean Mum's for Xmas and I have to wrap my Xmas presents.

Honestly tomorrow I will not move from the sofa:D

    Back again,

I have the cleaning all done :). Kitchen, living room, bedrooms and hall hoovered:).

I've wrapped OHs presents and now I'm heading to Mr Ts with my Mum as she has a few things still to get. I will also drop of nephew no 1s present so he will have it on Xmas morning.

This evening I will watch crappy tv and veg:D

    Morning all,

Warning in advance - this is a super long post:D. I'm setting out my plans for 2013 (I'm pipping the New Year crowd:D).

My greatest achievement for 2012 apart from slashing £6120 of my debt:T, is that I kicked my ED (bulimia). I'm about 95% recovered. I will be fully recovered when my final niggling binge urges go and when I don't wish I was thinner. However that probably just makes me normal:D. I have other achievements in 2012 but those are the big 2.

I'm shamelessly stealing from another thread "What's your winning formula for 2013" but their ideas are great so I'm borrowing them.

So for 2013 -Money related goals -

    I will -
    • plan my spending in advance each day
    • plan my spending for each month in advance
    • not make any impulse purchases (so guilty of doing this:o)
    • keep up with my budget spreadsheets (I love a good spreadsheet:D)
    • stop buying pointless little things on Amazon etc
    • take my lunch into work instead of buying it
    • Get an emergency fund up and running
    • clear all my debt in 2013
    • think twice before spending any money
    • ebay all unwanted items
    Mini goals per month -

    I will -
    • not buy any alcohol for myself in January (got lots of red wine as presents and when it's gone - it's gone)
    Personal goal -

    I will -
    • never 'diet' again
    • be nicer to myself and others.
I'm sure I could add to this list (couldn't we all) but the above is achievable. I'm going to join the NSD challenge - again:o. I'm not very good with the NSDs as I'm such a fritterer but will give it a go.

I found the laptop I want:). It's £350 and it's pink so that is where my £2 coins and virtual sealed pot money is going. My old laptop is about 10 years old (so my brother says as it was his), it's slow to start and I've had to buy 3 new chargers in the last year to keep it going. I hope the laptop will be my only big purchase this year but we all know how things go kaput when you don't want them to.

    Plans today -

    - visit in laws for lunch
    - make lunch for work tomorrow
    - iron clothes :(

Have a good day everyone and thanks for reading my ramblings.

    Hi all

Back to work today:(. It wasn't so bad and I left a bit earlier as the place was like a graveyard.

As I'm counting today as payday I have sorted my budgets for the month ahead. I'm trying to be super frugal on the groceries/entertainment budget.

    Groceries/Entertainment - £185
    Clothes - £10
    Exercise - £60
    Kids swimming - £40
    Gifts - £40

    Total = £335

I'm not counting diesel in these budgets as there is very little I can do about that

    morning world,

I'm hitting Mr T today. I've had a week of NSDs but I need diesel so will do my wee bit of shopping while there.

    I've found ninjakat's challenge & although it's a bit hardcore. I'm going to give it a go:cool:

Today's plan is basically work then pizza for tea. Tomorrow is bootcamp in morning then tidying the spare room ready for my sisters arrival in jan.

    Have a good day everyone:)

    Morning MSE,

I was up early today and I've been to my circuits class :A. I really missed it just for the craic and meeting up with friends. I'm now sitting here with my feet up feeling vary virtuous :) but I need to crack on with my plans for today.

So yesterday I hit Mr Ts and then bought a pizza for tea last night which came to £31.11. I'm going to my brothers for New Years day so I need to make an effort and bring something with me.

Today should be an NSD but I'm not sure what we're doing for tea tonight.

I've withdrawn my money for the month and I've put them into the relevant envelopes and again the theory is "when its gone its gone".

    Today's plans -
    • tidy room
    • clean out spare room again
    • set up ipod dock

  • Ohhhhh you're brave going to circuits .... think that would just about finish me off!:rotfl:

Really need to build up my stamina again - was reasonably fit before the "blip" but not anymore!:(

Having Maisie home should help as I have to take her out at least twice a day - hopefully I can build up the distance a little each day

I'm trying a new tactic with spending money this month - have put £50 into the new basic account and that's all the cash I'm allowed.

Going to try with £10 / week & £10 for emergencies - not going to touch the main account (with the huge OD I'm trying to clear) at all!
    Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
    2016 Sell: £125/£250
    £1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000
    Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!

Hi Risin - oh dear I've found muscles this morning that I had forgotten about...sore :o

I saw your pictures of Maisie on your thread and she is gorgeous and I'm sure she will have your stamina built up in no time:). Good luck with your £50 budget - I'm keen to see how you get on. I know that I spend money where and when I shouldn't and we can all reduce our spending if we try - but if it was that easy we wouldn't be in debt or on these boards in the first place:D.

I'm sitting here watching the 'Great British bake off' and looking out across the country to the snow capped mountains. I know I'm soo lucky.

I'm also trying to work out my spends for January -

    Planned events -
    • sister & hubby home in January
    • nephew's birthday

Hopefully it will be just the usual shopping and nothing will go kaput in January (fingers and toes crossed). I'm stopping at £1 shop tomorrow as I need a 2013 diary and in work they only give me a massive diary which is no use for your handbag. I'm buying it tomorrow so that I can try and build up my NSDs for January.

Tomorrow is also when all my direct debits go out so my bank account will just deflate. I got used to it looking very healthy:D

I've got work tomorrow and then I'm heading out to the pub with OH for NYE. I am also going to my brothers for NYD dinner and will bring with me wine that I've accumulated over Xmas (very MSE:))

    Have a good day everyone
