Can someone please confirm that if pay by credit card (and someone said at the beginning of this thread) then the money wouldnt be debited until goods are dispatched.
I paid by credit card and the money was taken out then credited back in.
Also when your in a shop theres usually notices that say errors cannot cannot be rectified once change has been given i.e. the deal has been done so shouldnt that mean if they've taken the money off me then they should honour the deal at the price and not credit me.
Im replying to my 25% off e-mail declining the offer with a few pointers and saying that i've informed Watchdog and i may seek further legal advice.Always looking for a bargain and to help0 -

IIRC, it's on the final order page. Do a fake order until you get to that page or check their online Help/FAQ.0 -
Here's an interesting snipper from the Consumer Direct site - full thing can be read on this link: http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/general/advertising/fs_p01.shtml
'a trader who mistakenly prices a product (for example, “28 inch widescreen television for £39.90” instead of £399) is not obliged to honour that price unless the transaction has already been completed. The trader must nevertheless take immediate steps to rectify the mistake.'
So, legally the transaction has to be completed. Littlewoods would say completed means delivered - but as the item is being delivered from a 3rd party without littlewoods involvement - completed in This case MUST mean the online order process...?
Flimber - not sure that link really goes along with the point I was trying to make, but interesting none-the less. The contract they had was part of the proof that he was conning her, but not really tied up to the legality of the situation.0 -
Right, this is my situation so far:
I ordered the £149 laptop and received confirmation (of laptop and software).
The money has been taken from my credit card, and the order status on the website for my account shows 'Order Accepted'. According to their own T+C's they can only cancel for a misprice if this was before the Accepted stage, and once they have accepted, thats it?
I emailed them about delivery yesterday, and today received a reply stating the usual 'cancellation according to our T+C's reply.....
I also received the 25% discount offer in a seperate email.
HOWEVER, my order status still says 'Order Accepted', and the money is still out of my account.
Now what?
Do I wait to see if anything does get shipped, and if so do I take it further? Suggestions welcome.

Were IMMEDIATE steps taken? Orders in limbo and hours to alter website, make cancellations etc.0 -
This the is reply to declining the 25% off offer (what a joke)

Well, exactly. I don't think they could claim immediacy given the number of people who ordered before the mistake was corrected.0 -
I have just phoned them regarding the lies about my payments and apparently their systems are down Oh how very convenient.0
