Looks like you need go to a 'real' local office. Which isn't as good as all of us emailing 1 central place, as we'd be less likely to get ignored.0 -
Jakaru wrote:I've just twigged something else too - everyones posting about buying a laptop AND software. The original item was Both in 1. Just checked the Toshiba laptops currently on Littlewoods site, and there is No such thing still listed at any price.
So... for the 'Misprice' statement they sent to me to be true - the item I ordered would still need to be available (under ANY product code would do..) for me to go back and re-buy. It isn't there. They didn't mis-price, they listed a product they are no longer selling. It just gets Worse and Worse for littlewoods...!

Exactly.
For a mis-price it would need to still be the thing I ordered, but at a higher price.
For a mis-description, it would have to still be there is Some recognisable form, it isn't. It could be an Armchair for £149 listed on the PR427 code now for all the Real similarity there is between a piece of Software, and an entire laptop computer.
(I went for the cheaper one, largely as they deleted the £249 from the littlewoods site JUST as I got there...)0 -

I e-mailed my Local Office and will ring them if I don't hear anything. They have much more power than Watchdog and come to think of it I do sometimes think Watchdog is a bit sensationalist and don't really achieve anything for consumers in general. Never heard of them campaigning for consumer law changes.
Also if you are a member of Which? then they are worth contacting as well. As they are quiet proactive.0 -
I do hope the CAB woman doesn't say 'You do realise there are people who REALLY need our help?', or we'll all have to feel Very guilty...
(EDIT: Oooh, I've been thanked! Just noticed! Nice to know I said Something useful in all this Prattle...)

She'll make you wait 90 mins, then give you 5 minutes to tell her your story, then she'll say "I think you should seek legal advice....bye, bye" ....at least that's what normally happens in a CAB office.
CAB employees *used* to have a little more knowledge about these things than the average joe...but that was before the interent took off. Now CAB offices are just somewhere to go to get out the cold & poke fun at people who are too tight to pay a solicitor.0 -

My order was placed just after 12:30pm and it's low 2,000's
Suggest you strip yer email off that message as well...
