I suspect that the last four digits -which I've enboldened - means that yours was the 3707th order placed. What time did you order ? And who's got the highest here ? If we double or triple it we'll have an idea of how many lappies Toshiba are going to have to churn out :)

My order was placed just after 12:30pm and it's low 2,000's :(

Suggest you strip yer email off that message as well...

I have just received the 25% off email and I am not sure what to do. I have just looked on the site for their price and for the laptop with vista its £579 and with 25% off it would be £434 is that any good, I mean it sounds reasonable at the end of the day they could have just canceled it now they have let me know, this is obviously different for people who have had their money taken though.

Well that not only depends on whats out there elsewhere in terms of competition but also whether their offer is including the software for free or if you have to pay for it which in that matter would make it :

    latop (£579) and vista premium (£239) = £818 - 25% = £613.15
    or
    latop (£579) and office 2007(£129) = £708 - 25% = £531

The offer email gives no detail as to whether it would be based on the above or just the cost of the laptop with the software free.

I think its may be an enquiry code only - the first digits of 20070202 being the 2nd February 2007 listed backwards... It does though imply that they've had to log 3707 enquires today alone!

(My number from todays email, 3299 at 12.21pm, given max of 80minutes I think it is, between mine and Petes - thats 400 / 80, 5 a minute, 1 every 12 seconds. Guess I won't hold my breath for a reply to my querying cancellation then if they are processing that many emails... )

I have emailed Watchdog with all my details - hopefully if enough people do it they will chase this up and not allow Littlefu*ks to get away with this.

Im concerned that Watchdog havent contacted anybody yet which means either they havent had enough complaints yet (but 1 voice should be enough), they've had so many complaints that they are taking time to begin to deal with it or they cant be bothered

Everyone has been quoting Littlewoods get out clauses on their website but the first laptop I ordered was by phone because I wanted to confirm the price and to make sure it wasn't a mistake. The lady who took my order looked it up on her system and said the price was correct, so I ordered. Now I am not a solicitor but I think her taking my order and card being charged means a contract was put in place. That's why I think it is useful if someone like Watchdog investigates because they do have solicitors who can look into this.

Actually Trading Standards would have more legal clout than Watchdog. Has anyone got any ideas on the best way to contact Trading Standards.

I've just twigged something else too - everyones posting about buying a laptop AND software. The original item was Both in 1. Just checked the Toshiba laptops currently on Littlewoods site, and there is No such thing still listed at any price.

So... for the 'Misprice' statement they sent to me to be true - the item I ordered would still need to be available (under ANY product code would do..) for me to go back and re-buy. It isn't there. They didn't mis-price, they listed a product they are no longer selling. It just gets Worse and Worse for littlewoods...! :)

from the way the email is typed it sounds like the software is free but i suppose i would have to ring to find out
