    Hi
I used to work for trading standards a long while ago, so might be out of date, but you need to contact the office closest to littlewoods office as there will be an enforcement officer there who will have littlewoods as one of his "clients" so if all enquirys go to the one office, that officer will collate them all and see littlewoods, and he will already be known to the company.

    Thats a possible 4000 plus laptops @ £400-£500 off!
If we all get them then Littlewoods will be out of business and Toshiba will overtake Microsoft in the IT world :rotfl:

Well that not only depends on whats out there elsewhere in terms of competition but also whether their offer is including the software for free or if you have to pay for it which in that matter would make it :

    latop (£579) and vista premium (£239) = £818 - 25% = £613.15
    or
    latop (£579) and office 2007(£129) = £708 - 25% = £531

The offer email gives no detail as to whether it would be based on the above or just the cost of the laptop with the software free.

Well its laptop (£579) - 25% = 434.25 with FREE software of your choice.
So if you manage to sale the Vista at about 150 on ebay it will be practically
    284.25

See my previous post... I called and confirmed this

Also you can not apply any quidco/other voucher on top of that...

After my order cancellation I asked for my registration with them to be cancelled.
This is the reply I received

Are they allowed to refuse to take you off their system?

Furthermore, will they have run credit checks etc when starting this "account" - could this have an effect on your credit score?

I wonder if the lower numbered orders are being honoured and the people are keeping quiet about it?

I e-mailed my Local Office and will ring them if I don't hear anything. They have much more power than Watchdog and come to think of it I do sometimes think Watchdog is a bit sensationalist and don't really achieve anything for consumers in general. Never heard of them campaigning for consumer law changes.

Also if you are a member of Which? then they are worth contacting as well. As they are quiet proactive.

    Watchdog is a joke.
The company I worked for has been "featured" on it 2 or 3 times, to the point it was not only a standing joke.

Without cheating, I bet you can't name the companies featured on last weeks show :)
