    Dear Mrs Evans,

Further to your recent order request for a Toshiba A100 Laptop (catalogue
number PR427 or PR393), please be advised that there was a price error on
our website and the price shown was incorrect. We are therefore declining
your order request in accordance with clauses 2.2 and 3.2 of our terms and
conditions, which can be viewed on the website help pages. The laptop
price has now been amended if you wish to order at the correct price.

    Kind Regards

    On line Customer Care.

Just to re-iterate what some people are experiencing (inc. me):

I ordered a laptop and recieved a confirmation email. This is the "second email" mentioned in their T&Cs - crucially this comes after Littlewoods claim to have checked orders for errors (T&Cs 3.2) and is an invitation for the customer to finally check the order for errors themselves. I saw no errors. Littlewoods say that if we're happy with this second email then there's "no need for us to do anything" and our goods will duly arrive as advised. It might be important to note that the "first email" mentioned in the T&Cs (to the effect of 'we are processing your order') never arrived as this may indicate that Littlewoods day-to-day procedures may not be in strict compliance with their claimed T&Cs.

Accordingly, my order changed from "Processing" to "Accepted" when I next checked it online - this despite Littlewoods claiming that orders are only formally accepted on despatch (T&Cs 2.2). So, again, it may be important to point out here that their day-to-day procedures may not be in strict compliance with their claimed T&Cs.

At the time of writing my order has not been cancelled and overnight Littlewoods have taken the money from my account.

So, they have confirmed that I ordered these goods after my order had been checked for errors, they then accepted my order and now they have debited me for it.

Could someone (pref. non-armchair lawyer :D) please tell me why I should not be expecting Littlewoods to fulfill their contract to supply the laptop/software which I ordered ?

And if Littlewoods refuse to supply at this stage, are we in a "Loss of Bargain" situation where I can go and buy the equivalent goods elsewhere and charge Littlewoods the difference ?

Why is everyone seemingly just rolling over on this one ?

Let us know when you're about to throw the rattle out of the pram ... I dont fancy tripping over it.

i meant it with tounge firmly in cheek!

So far as im concered if i end up getting software i have the webpage and email to back up my claim that i was under the impression i was getting a laptop. Then they will have to at the very least give me my money back.

    What have i lost?

Maybe 10 mins of my time.
