I was rebutting the point you made. Just because I don't care about the individual case doesn't mean I don't care about accuracy.

They wont change their minds and have cancelled the orders, we’re talking big bucks here and they wont have to honour it. Just like the many companies who haven’t honoured all the large mis-prices we’ve seen in the past.

No, they don't have to, but bad press costs. Sometimes it's cheaper to absorb the cost of a mistake than it is to lose customers. That's pretty much what it comes down to.

I think we actually agree that there's no point doing anything; whatever happens happens, and until something happens you may as well forget about it.

Confirmation email, no cancellation email, ordered 'accepted' but for software, money pending on credit card (checked via online CC banking)....

Recieved my cancellation email in the last ten mins or so. Just said it was a pricing error, they were declining my order and hoped I buy from the site again soon!!

I went for the £129 LXDirect one Order confirmation e mail recd 14.36 yesterday which clearly states

"A100" laptop with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 PR427A5

Nothing since - still showing as order accepted on their website.

My debit card payment is going through - bank showing available balance as £132.50 lower than actual balance

Same as you I got in early I think 12.56!! have had confirmation email and nothing else since.

Can they change it without notifying us first, if we hadn't checked online order status we would still be under the impression the laptop was on order from their initial email confirmation??????????

Well I've resigned to the fact wont be receiving the lappy, and will have to send the software back when it arrives, that's if they do send it, my delivery date is 20/2/07

Why dont they just canel it straight before sending me this email??
