This is substantially higher percentage price mistake compared to the gamecube deal. It wont be honoured and has already been cancelled, whatever you may think and hope. Argue and try all you like, believe that you can get it for the price you want.

If it doesn't come through, it doesn't come through, but if it does, only those who ordered will have got something out of it.

You appear to mistake me for someone who is actually bothered about what comes of it. I expect nothing, and anything that comes of the two minutes it took to place an order (oh, plus another one for bothering to reply here) is a bonus.

    Just got this...

Further to your recent order request for a Toshiba A100 Laptop (catalogue

our website and the price shown was incorrect. We are therefore declining
your order request in accordance with clauses 2.2 and 3.2 of our terms and
conditions, which can be viewed on the website help pages. The laptop

I originally placed an order with littlewoods, but they didn't accept it, so i placed my order with LX Direct who did accept it (it was placed under a diffent name and email address) but i've just received an email from Littlewoods telling me that they are cancelling my order with them!! but there was no order!!

I think they are just sending out emails to anyone and everyone !!

NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY IN SIGHT. The ba****ds.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????
  • Thank you for your communication regarding the Notebook "offer" that was recently posted on the Littlewoods and LXDirect web sites.

As you have noted this has now been removed by Littlewoods due to an error at their end which inadvertently displayed the price of the Microsoft Office 2007 software package together with the photograph and description of a Toshiba A100 series notebook.

    Reply from Toshiba

Unortunately, while we have strict procedures in place with organisations such as Littlewoods to ensure that our products and their specifications are correct, we have no control on the systems and processes they use when publishing this to their web sites. In this instance these processes appear to have broken down resulting in the "offer" as noted.

Please be assured that, as soon as we became aware of this issue we immediately contacted Littlewoods to advise them of their error which resulted in them taking their websites down in order to make the appropriate corrections.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience experienced, and hope that we are able to provide reassurance that this was a completely accidental and unforeseen incident from Toshiba's perspective.

Agreed, that speaks volumes about the company, at least Toshiba apologised.

I wouldn't apologise to members of a forum like this who order based on how much of a misprice it is and some of whom on the basis of how much profit they could sell it on.

It became quite clear from about post #10 this was a misprice and everyone weighed in to see how much they could take Littlewoods or LXDirect for. And when Littlewoods or LX took the appropriate step of cancelling orders in my opinion they owe us nothing more or less than a refund.
