Can you please post what you write - then we can make sure we all say the same thing :)

Personally, I don't have anything to complain about yet - still says order accepted :)

I use a site called Money Saving Expert hosted by Martin Lewis and on 30/01/2007 was made aware of a Toshiba A100 laptop for £249.99 advertised by Littlewoods Catalogue. At that price i ordered two (one for me and one for a friend). I registered with Littleowoods and used a 10% discount for first time users to get a price of £448.20 for both machines. I used my credit card as payment. On 31/01/2007 i recieved a confimation e-mail from from Littlewoods saying i would be recieving '"A100" laptop with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition PR3933*' with an estimated delivery date of 21/02/2007. I then checked my order history and found under the sundry items it said my order was not sent and a credit to my Visa credit card.
I am aware that alot of people have ordered these laptops and ones at a lower price of £149.99. Also LXDirect Catalogue were advertising offers like these.
I also have printouts of the pages from Littlewoods advertising this.
Im not sure what Watchdog can do but i have asked other users to inform you of their particular situation.
I hope to you can help.
    Many thanks in advance.

Littlewoods will rely on their terms and conditions to the effect that no contract is formed until the goods are despatched. The only way around this is to claim the term is unfair under the Unfair Terms and Conditions in Consumer Contracts legislation. This would undoubtedly require high court action as it is a grey area. You would have to argue that a consumer has a right to know exactly when a contract is formed and it not be some arbitrary point in the future. The terms and conditions are after all meaningless until the contract is formed.
