The next coiple of days will show what will happen if Littlewoods decide to contact customers saying it was a miprice and cancelling orders or saying do you want to complete the sale at the correct price
It's just a plain old misprice as they can choose what ever they want for the item description, shame the orders are not scheduled for delivery for 2 weeks as no-one will be 100% sure until they receive a laptop or a call / email from customer services0 -

The description may be abbreviated but they have changed the catalogue number too, taking the last number off, if you do a search with the product catalogue number it says it cannot find it???????
I think too they have messed up big time and are trying to cover themselves with this 'software only' package. we shall have to wait and see:o:grinheart I've caught it - The TESCO bug!!:grinheartTesco points have paid for Florida holiday this year'Kids now have 'womblitis':rotfl:I :heart2: MSE£2 savings 2008 = £46Quidco £244.95 PAID 2007 - £54.62 received to dateKids Finders keepers jar £5.99 -since 26/5/070 -

Do a search on the site and see if you can find any cracking deals for software
Hopefully you are right.....the order history quotes PR4277 as the catalogue number, but I can't find anything for that. I was shocked that payment had been taken when the item was not available until the 20th Feb.....0 -

On the checkout page it said if you were paying by a Debit Card they would take payment immediately but if a Credit Card would take it upon despatch. I paid by visa debit card bank told me this pm nothing showing on their system but it would prob update overnight. Keeping fingers crossed0 -
Any one from Littlewoods use this site, maybe they can give us some inside info, maybe they placed an order also??

The Dell CDs unfortunately don't tend to work in machines other than Dell's. Some people have the same problem if they change their motherboard and try to install from the same OEM CD.
I've used my Dell cd on a PB laptop, a HP pavillion pc and a Targus PC without issue. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

I was in such a rush I didn't read that....should be more careful in future. I used a Visa debit card too. My only Credit card is American Express (only ever used it twice) and they didn't take that.0 -
choccyface2006 wrote:Okay, so what should we do? (Those of us who have ordered and think they will recieve just the software? Like myself, my order had been accepted but it now shows as an order for software only) Do we cancel because we know what will happen and we might be lumbered with Vista that will be troublesome to return or wait and see what happens?
Sarah
Personally, I plan to wait. If they send me something I haven't ordered, they will have taken payment for that which I have ordered. In other words, if they send something out, the contract to supply me with what I have ordered is in place, as their terms and conditions clearly state the contract exists once the order has been dispatched. If they cancel before that, they're in the clear. If they don't cancel, but send me software instead, I'll take them to the small claims court. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

I paid with my Visa Credit Card and I have a pending transaction for the amount for Littlewoods......looks like they dont wait until dispatch before taking the money. Not good!
