Although it would be nice to get the laptop for £150, I won't be too disappointed if I don't actually get it. However, I am waiting to hear what the reponse is from Littlewoods!
Having said all this, I will TRY & fight them to get what was offered to me!! :beer:0 -

I feel sorry for the people who have paid by debit card straight away, it's going to be at least 3 weeks before you get your money back
THERE WILL BE NO LAPTOP - MARK MY WORDS...FACT.
Another one convinced it's software only, everyone's order confirmation states laptop and software. I printed out the details and saved the page, so IF they do just send me sotware then I'll have a bit of ammo if they get funny about taking it back.

I expect we'll get fobbed off with a voucher but it'll be interesting to see what happens next. What can Littlewoods do to back out now other than reverting Accepted orders to Unaccepted ? And would that be lawful of them to do that ?
The way I see it, I've ordered a laptop/software package which was confirmed via email, then according to online tracking my order was "processing" and now that same order number relates to an Accepted Order. Only now the description of the item (or that site's shorthand of it) has changed to apparently reflect only the software part of my order.
Meanwhile if the monies pending in my bank account go out overnight, I don't see how Littlewoods can backtrack on it. Their cockup, their problem.
I'm not sure if Littlewoods are the sort of company I'd advocate as worthy of MSE "Consumer Revenge" though. They've always seemed okay to me, know some people who work for 'em and have never had a problem with them. OTOH, they can easily afford to take the hit on this one, at either £149 or £249.0 -
One other thing, if anyone does get to the stage where some software turns up, there's a relatively simple solution: don't sign for it.

Will the postman actually hand over the package if you don't sign for it? Surely you need to sign for it...?
EDIT:
On a another note, I have actually searched Littlewoods site for software & they don't actually sell any Microsoft software separately so I can't see how they can send us just the software...???0 -

The T&C's state that should there be an error they will "contact you prior to accepting you order with the correct details." (emphasis mine).
According to online tracking the status of my £149 laptop, and I'm sure those of others on here, is showing as "Order Accepted".
In other words, we're now past the bit where they can hold up a Pricing Error flag, aren't we ? Well, aren't we ?
Mike.
I read this in the T's&C's:
"When you submit an order to us on our website you will receive a 'bounce back' confirmatory email of this order saying that we are processing your order. You will then receive a second email from us acknowledging your order and giving you estimated timescales for delivery. You should check both emails for accuracy and let us know immediately if there are any errors. Neither of these emails constitute acceptance of the order by us. Your order will be accepted by us (and a contract will then be formed between us) when we despatch the goods to you. Title to the goods will pass to you on delivery"
So unless they have changed their T's&C's since this afternoon (and you can prove it) then it looks like they hold the aces.

When I log into LX Direct now it shows that my order has been accepted too and like everyone else, only the software is showing up. Guess I will have to keep an eye on this thread and see what happens. I am not about to cancel my order yet though.
