). Normally, you can't reinstall the OS without a copy of the OS on cd, so I wouldn't expect anyone to have a go without having the cd required to do it.
With my dell laptop you hold down two keys, I can't remember off the top of my head which ones, F8+something after the BIOS password which gives you the option to reinstall fully to factory settings without a CD present.
The Dell CDs unfortunately don't tend to work in machines other than Dell's. Some people have the same problem if they change their motherboard and try to install from the same OEM CD.0 -
Ordered the 149.99 laptop approx 12.50 today applied for the 52 weeks payment option through to order complete phase.
Since then i had 3 emails
1) Account set up conformation
2) Credit application success
3) Order confirmation showing laptop+office software
Checking the website tracker my order is showing status of "Order Accepted"
not for a laptop but software instead "Microsoft Office Home Student"0 -

Woops, clicked thanks by mistake lol.
Your order confirmation email shows it as a laptop doesn't it. I'd guess that the track order bit is just the way it works.0 -

muffin_man wrote:For all those out there who are worried about just being sent 'the software', I just read this in the Credit Account T&Cs (as according to some, we've all had credit accounts opened without our consent):
So if the worst should happen and we all wake up to find Vista sitting on our doorsteps, we can sue Littlewoods...how exciting :rolleyes2 - shall we start a new thread about it now or wait 21 days?
Also in their T&C's is the following so they have all the clauses to get out of the contract when they find out about the misprice3.2 Whilst it is out intention to keep our website upto date and error free, product description or pricing errors may occur. if we discover such an error after you have submitted an order to us, we contact you prior to accepting you order with the correct details. You may then cancel your order or re-confirm it based on the correct information. If we are unable to contact you we will treat your order as cancelled
Fingers crossed but think it will be highly likely that Littlewoods start cancelling soon or telling people the correct price and asking them if they want to carry on at the correct price0 -

I ordered mine over the phone via a customer service adviser (on a pre-existing account) so website error is erroneous

I cancelled my order a couple hours after I placed it (at 12.29), cos even though they couldn't tell me, I'm 100% sure it's software. I guess people who are expecting laptops are kidding themsleves. Expect a shock when you get software
I feel sorry for the people who have paid by debit card straight away, it's going to be at least 3 weeks before you get your money back
THERE WILL BE NO LAPTOP - MARK MY WORDS...FACT.0
