I just rang them to find out why I hadn't received a confirmation email and the girl that I spoke to confirmed that the laptop was indeed mispriced and the order would not be processed.

    Thought you'd like to know!!

I ordered mine over the phone via a customer service adviser (on a pre-existing account) so website error is erroneous

Surely it wont matter as when you place an order over the phone they are not going to go through all of the terms surely and the staff may not notice it is a misprice and just place your order

At the end of the day they can just tell you to read the T&C's on their site and they will be within their right to cancel your order or tell you it is a misprice and if you want to proceed at the correct price

Good luck in getting the laptops everyone

Only time will tell as to what will happen

Yet strangely I have just received an Email (timed at 1730) confirming my order for a Laptop and the website has now updated to show my order as accepted!
Whats all that about? </Peter Kay voice>

just been on another site where this link was also posted and someone had phoned toshiba and they poated that this was the reply

"phoned Toshiba AND get this, they are TELLING people to order them at that price as they are putting pressure on Littlewoods to honor ALL orders!!!!"

    so que sera sera
  • I just called to confirm my order of the £149 laptop and they said there had been problems with the website and they would be emailing all customers within 24 hours, and wouldn't be honouring that price, under sections 2 and 3 of there terms and conditions. :(

The customer service person I spoke to says it should have been a software listing, as mentioned in an earlier post, and they don't have to honour mistakes like that.

Why would Toshiba do such a thing? Ah....I see they want to shift about 3,000,000 A100 laptops out of their warehouse hahaha :)

Well im still waiting ever hopeful, but only hopeful. Nothing ventured, absolutely nothing gained, just hope we haven't got their web developer sacked!

From what I can see, it seems to be only the £149 laptops that are getting refused, so are they in fact honouring the £250 laptops?

Interesting to hear from anyone who has more info :)

I see someone else has mentioned it already but I want to restate this so we don't all keep spinning around in the same circle...

The T&C's state that should there be an error they will "contact you prior to accepting you order with the correct details." (emphasis mine).

According to online tracking the status of my £149 laptop, and I'm sure those of others on here, is showing as "Order Accepted".

In other words, we're now past the bit where they can hold up a Pricing Error flag, aren't we ? Well, aren't we ?

    Mike.
