can someone tell me the specifics about having a credit check applied?

i know nothing about this, but i see people on this thread being a bit worried about it. is it in some way harmful?

Hmmmm.... my Tracking Order page now shows Order Accepted (as opposed to Processing). However, the Tracking page says Software, not Laptop, of course - so that's not Great really. Even I'm holding onto that Last little bit of hope though.

As nearly all of us can see this must be a misprice. I have trawled through their T&C'c and noticed the following:

3.2 Whilst it is out intention to keep our website upto date and error free, product description or pricing errors may occur. if we discover such an error after you have submitted an order to us, we contact you prior to accepting you order with the correct details. You may then cancel your order or re-confirm it based on the correct information. If we are unable to contact you we will treat your order as cancelled.


I doubt if any of us will get it!

if you read through the thread you'll see that confirmation of order doesn't constitute acceptance of order, because they are automatically generated.

I’ve just had a look on the LX Direct website. When I placed my original order it said “three week delivery” it now has the correct price and says “48 hour” delivery.

Incidentally I still don't have order confirmation from a £149 laptop (i used 10%) ordered at circa 1:30pm so not lookin good on that front.

Anybody else got a confirmation for the £149 laptop?

My old man received his email confirmation about 30 minutes ago, he ordered at a similar time to myself. Only difference being his address/card and the fact he ordered the £249 one (£222 less discount).

Yes, a long time ago but I still don't think were going to get it. It'd be nice to be proved wrong. I'm just in it for the fun, great if it works, no sweat if it dosn't.
