To be brutally honest, your employer is starting to tire with your situation and no matter which way you look at it, you're an expensive employee in terms of the bottom line: efficiency and profit.
Though I sympathise with your predicament, it's probably better just to accept you're not cut out for work and the likelyhood of getting fired.
Cruel I know, but it's probably better not to let another employer go through the same headache.0 -

And how did you come to that conclusion?
I'm currently employed by the hospital trust and have found work through the staff bank to keep me going for all but three weeks since the end of the contract in January.
My current boss is more than satisfied with my performance, so much so that I've been given more shifts through July.
The interview is for a job entirely unrelated to any one I've done recently. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
The interview went well and I was offered the job at 6pm the same day. :j
They woke me up when they rang me.
I've got a little tour of the lab on Thursday.
The weird thing is, they're extremely friendly and helpful.
Every time I talk to them, they congratulate me on the job and they are really polite, smiley and happy.
It's so different to where I currently work, that it's starting to un-nerve me. _pale_
Still, as I know from previous experience, being offered the job is a lot different to getting the job. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
That's great news Gingernutty - congratulations :T.0

Well done Gingernutty, that's fantastic!
I haven't posted on here as I've no experience of what you've been going through so didn't have any useful advice to give you, but I've been reading and hoping it would all come right for you in the end and now it has.Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0 -

I've been offered two jobs previously and it's all turned to crap so until I've clocked on for the first time, I'm not holding my breath. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -

Sooooooo, anyhoo
I went over to the other hospital (the one I'd be working in, not the one I was interviewed in) for a little tour of the lab.
Everyone was very friendly. So friendly in fact, that someone came down to the front entrance to collect me instead of just letting me follow the signs around the corridors and, once in the lab, people on their hands and knees with their heads in broken down machines stuck their heads out to say hello. They're unnervingly friendly.
I start whenever HR grinds into gear and finishes the recruitment process. As I haven't been formally offered the job in writing yet, this could take some time.
They're happy to wait.
So far, so good...... Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
GO Gingernutty!
I have a feeling that it's all turning a corner for you now.0
