I was lucky enough to get a ka classic in last years black Friday. It was £150. I spent the whole evening debating between it and a kenwood as 1. Kenwood was slightly cheaper 2. Had a more powerful motor. I went with the ka and it's fab! No regrets plus it's motor is more than powerful. The only difference between it and the artisan model is 1. Slightly more powerful motor 2. A splash guard 3. A bigger bowl with handle. Re the splash guard I bought it as an extra and wished I had not it's very carp! Re the bigger bowl, I ended up buying a second bowl of eBay as one bowl was not enough when baking in batches. Slightly off topic but hth!

Can someone tell me what a kitchenaid is? I feel like im missing out on something :)

I had to look it up on Amazon (before I got to the page with the pic on!!) Shows how domesticated I am, must say I lost interest when I found out it was only a mixer!! For that price I thought it was really something exciting!!:D

Plus a decent Kenwood can be around £200/£250. I'm tempted to ask my Dad for this tomorrow for mine and OH's Christmas, was toying with an Actifry but I'd LOVE a Kitchenaid, although is it the Artisan model does anyone know?

    all i can say is...meoooow!
    Smart price rocks!

Update-told OH the cost, he said fine does not need to know, if I want it have it, it is not permission I need off him, if I feel that it would be useful to me go ahead no probs, didn't bulk at the price tag, was perfectly happy and so tomorrow let us see if it is to be or not to be:D

In my early days of marriage we pooled all our money - irrespective of who earned the most (me, actually). We didn't have personal savings accounts which in retrospect is probably not a good idea. I know it's shameful but occasionally when buying clothes I would mark down the ticket with a red marker as in 'sale price'. He never did cotton on...
I just thought - why make him unhappy? :)

It is the white clasic one not the coloured one like in the pick but one review said that she walked past it in the kitchen sometimes and would blow a kiss at it with her hand, now that is OTT:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
