My local Tesco Extra has stopped dishing out plastic bags at the checkout, I assume this is being rolled out across the country. You still get your green points for bag reuse. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Tesco took the points facility away because of abuse by customers, the machines are still available to use, they will NOT be taking these away and they don't make a profit.
kind regards,0 -

I never liked the Tesco recycling machines. One of the good reasons to recycle is to save energy, so I find it counterproductive that these new recycling bins consume electric when they don't need to.0
-
Something most people dont know is that some of the recycling machines were/where provided and owned by local authorities Tesco gave club points (and space) to encourage the concept of recyclingThe years starts today ....0
-
Tesco only installed these machines in a very few locations - none anywhere near me  - so the chance to earn extra points is very selective. The local stores all have ordinary can banks etc.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0

I wasn't even aware Tescos had recycling machines!
It would be handy to have somewhere to recycle plastics and cans, as our council only recycle paper/thin card and glass.0 -
Better move to Erewash we recycle all sorts here, even ex talk show hosts, Kilroy got recycled with a soaking in Asda's carpark. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
