Our local tescos has these machines but not used them. I didn't know that you could get points for them  I take my glass to one within walking distance but may save them for when I do a shop now

Everything else goes every 2 weeks with the bin men I'm lucky. The school also has a bagsforschool thing at least once a term so now I build up old clothes , toys ect for them:T
    it costs nothing to smile:D

The Portsmouth North Harbour store does not give recycling points - however it does have a high tech machine.

The Havant store does give points.

Does anyone know if it gives points for plastic bottles and drinks cans? I'd rather get points for them than give them to my council for free!!
  • Wow this sounds great. Our local council has an excellent recycling scheme but I'd love to get extra Tesco points so I'd certainly use the recycling facilities...
We really are soooo behind though. I lived in Vienna for a while about 15 years ago and all glass bottles had a deposit on them, and all households had wheelie trolleys for their shopping as shops did not provide plastic bags. You could buy plastic bags in supermarkets but they were like our bag for life ones so you could reuse them over and over...and that's 15 years ago!

    Hi!

Some of tesco stores have this new recyling machines.

    They are amazing!!

You swipe your card, put in plastic, metal, or glass and for every 4 items, they give u a point!!

So, even for Plastic wrapping, I put in it, and it get accepted!

What an excellent way to recyle and get points!!
