Also that contribution benefits dont get cold weather payments or auto matic 100% housing / council tax benefits or auto presciptionsLadyMorticia wrote: »I have no idea but I was wondering if it was the fact that CB benefits tend to be a standard amount each week, whereas income related ones can be more money? If that makes sense.0 -
Just to let the original poster know that I got the xmas bonus in my payment today of DLA (for my son), as yet no letter but I remember last year that i got the payment and then a week or so later the letter.

thats because they have enough income so why give them christmas bonus and the ones that find it hard to make ends meet (ib) dont get it. One of many things the DWP do that we dont uderstand.richard9991 wrote: »Also that contribution benefits dont get cold weather payments or auto matic 100% housing / council tax benefits or auto presciptions0 -
I must be getting my Christmas bonus separately from my usual payment as my DLA went into my account yesterday and it was the usual amount. I get my DLA payment every 4 weeks (next one is 27th of Dec) so I don't get another lot of DLA before Christmas. Typical really. Spent it already anyway on helping us get the dehumidifier - brilliant little thing.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy

I won't get mine this year as DLA is suspended but it is handy for topping up the heating. Statistically disabled people earn less than able bodied with the same qualifications so the bonus cheers me up when I get it.0

I do not begrudge anybody a little extra at this time of year but statistically disabled people not working recieve more money than abled body people not working.0

Able bodied people are in with a better chance of getting a job though.0

Mine will be going to a homeless charity who are much more needy than I am.
Would you ? I doubt you won't give it away. More likely you keep it in your bank.0 -
Why do peoples moaning about when is xmas bonus due on? It only £10 a year! We don't need it and you know it! Give to the homeless peoples or charity for cancer patients.0
