  • Personally I reckon all you dollies, and DLA'rs should give every tax payer £10 for Christmas. You really are a load of cheeky bints.
oh shut your mouth. so you are calling all severely disabled people like my daughter who is 20 but like a big baby 'cheeky bints?' They dont ask the government for an extra tenner !
life is what you make it, make it fun !
  • I got my letter today. It says my Christmas bonus is going in on Tuesday - a week after my usual DLA went in. I don't understand why they did it in a different transaction.
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D

glad i am not the only one who gets the letter then.

Yes I can give that away (I dont I do use it on christmas but I do give EVERY possible moment over to charity and the community so I know I am giving back more than I take anyway.

still think the £10 bonus + associated letters costs far too much and is an insult to those working.

I've just had my letters. I get one because I care for my little one and get Carers Allowance and the child gets one??????

Either way, I'm not complaining or giving it away - things cost too much as it is and will go towards the pressies.
Not very happy though as I will not get the Cold Weather payment - shame considering the price of fuel.

Reminds me I will have to get a few more loads of logs in to see me through the winter. Cant beat a nice log fire in the lounge especially on Christmas morning with the kiddywinks and the 'glass of port'!!!

income based employment support allowance does not give you xmas bonus on its own
I got my christmas bonus yesterday and im on IR ESA
  • I don't think the government really wanted the hassle of getting rid of it tbh....There was probably a good reason for it all those years ago.

But it's easier for them to let inflation overtake it. The cost of administration & legalities is probably far more costly if they got rid completely.
You can't beat an egg.........................NO WAIT!
