DWP DLA christmas bonus

I'm still haven't received mine, I'm in receipt of Carer's Allowance. Anyone else still waiting?

I just don't get it - what changes, at Xmas regarding DLA? If it was weather related, i'd understand that - you know, getting about etc.

You get charged premiums around the holidays and Christmas is one of the worst for this. Meals on wheels is more expencive, care is more expencive, taxis more expencive - no/limited public transport makes taxis even more of a need when disabled etc. £10 isn't a huge amount when you think how much more can be going out just because of the word 'Christmas'.

You will be lucky to have your claim processed before Christmas, so its unlikely.

if your dla claim is succesful the £10 bonus should be included in your back pay

Yes it should be in your back pay if your claim for DLA is succesful. However when my back pay came through we realised that it hadn't been added. My ma called them and stated about it and they confirmed that it hadn't been paid and should have been. It was in my account within a few days of saying to them about it. I had asked for the forms in the July (if you get them sent you get the back pay from when you asked for them) but didn't get my DLA award until the March! It doesn't matter when it gets processed, all that matters is when you asked for the forms or when they arrived if you did it differently - if it is before the Christmas bonus then you would be entitled to the Christmas bonus.

I've not had my £10 bonus yet either. Normaly it goes in to my account separately but no sign of it as yet. (I don't usually get a letter about it either, btw.)

I got a letter to say I would get £10 extra in my CA but I didn't get one about DS's DLA

No bonus for me in either ESA(C) or DLA & no separate £10 payment either. I didn't get the Xmas bonus last year either, but didn't know about it then. My original award letters don't mention the Xmas bonus either. I expect it will cost me more in 'phone calls to find someone to ask about it....:rotfl:

I've not had mine yet, Carers allowance. I had to phone them yesterday about something else and the lady said mine is being paid with my payment which is due on monday. She also said payments due monday will be in people's accounts on thursday.
