£10 isnt much for those on a low income. I am not saying that they should increase it. I am just saying that a few people on here seem to begrudge those on a low income/benefits a measly £10.

Not everyone who receives it is on a low income.

I have thought for years it should be scrapped (although I get it (SRP) and so does my husband (IB)).

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

I got mine! Need to get onto the DWP, don't think I should get it as my DLA is suspended though I suppose technically I do still have an award somewhere.

Nothing new in my bank today or yesterday :( Although knowing my luck it would get swallowed up by charges from the bank.. I would probably spot it has been paid in when I go through my debits..lol

got mine ....thank you tax payers
  • Noticed that I had £10 paid in to my account from DWP-XP today, I had been scratching my head wondering what it was for until I came on here.

Off to John Lewis now and spend it with gay abandon :j :rotfl:
  • No letter so far - but postie hasn't been today. I usually get the letter a week or so after the money goes into my bank account...I'm going into town on Wednesday and will check to see if it has arrived!

I really appreciate the £10! I'll probably split it...£5 on the electric meter and a £5 Christmas 'splurge' at Lidls...I can get a Stollen and some German biscuits quite cheap there!
  • Got my letter today, says it will be in the bank by tomorrow

Nothing here, but I exchange my HRM DLA for a Motability car, I'm guessing that means that Motability will get the £10?

Apparently even though I'm in hospital so not actually receiving my DLA I am still entitled to the bonus! I really didn't expect that.
