I know for certain that Mint have over the course of about 3 years taken at least £300 from me for late payment charges... no missed payments... just late ones.
I rang them today to ask for a copy of all my charges and was told that if I am thinking of reclaiming charges then I don't have a leg to stand on as these charges are agreed in the terms and conditions of their credit card.
Is this correct, and what can I do next ?0 -
salfordred, they are abliged by law to send you your list of charges, just go through the stages and they will pay up in full, even if you end up going through mcol, they are just trying to put you off claiming
GO FOR IT!!!!!0 -

They asked for a £10 fee to send them... is this correct ?0 -
I have now had a letter from FO offering me £237.60 which is almost the whole amount, I have accepted, it took a month to sort out going through the Ombudsman.0

Hello Moneysavers! (This is my first ever post on here so sorry if I don't comply with any unknown etiquette!)
I am currently in the process of reclaiming credit card charges for my mum against Mint. On 5th September I sent the first letter with the £10 to get list of charges. Today we received a letter from Mint saying "I am sorry you have concerns with the charges that have been applied to your account".
They then go on to say how they believe the charges are fair but as a goodwill gesture they will refund difference between the £20 and £12 charges on the account.
I am a little confused as to why they are offering this as I only sent the data request letter and that's it. They conclude the letter saying that this is their final response and I should contact FOS if I am dissatisfied.
Should I just ignore this letter and send first request letter or what? Am a little confused and would appreciate any help.
Thanks.0 -
Just posted this in Mint section as am not sure where is most appropriate:

I suspect they know what is coming so are pre-empting matters. It is interesting that they are making an offer which is based on the oft decision of last year. I would consider the offer because you have to bear in mind that if you refuse it and go to court and the court agrees with the OFT figure of what is fair then you are at risk of being penalised in costs. As I am not the Pope or legally qualified I may be wrong so feel free to get a second opinion from a qualified person0 -
Treat it as their final response and go the FO that's what i done and finally got my cheque last week for full amount of charges.0

It sounds to me like it's a Mint Credit Card and not Bank Charges....0

Good morning to you all I am a new member on your site.
I have been pursuing Mint to claim back unlawful charges. It is at the AQ stage with the court and yesterday I had a letter from their Solicitors (Cobbetts) offering me £110 in full and final settlement of my claim (the claim is for £157.88). I am going to accept this offer for various reasons, but the question I would like answering if possible is:
On the top of the letter it says 'Without Prejudice save as to costs' can anyone please tell me what this means?
