  • Were there charges in the 2 year period? If so, you could try claiming them back!

I wanted to add my experience with Mint.

    - I sent off the first letter asking for the charges back. They refused.
    - I wrote again highlighting the same points in letter 1 with additional argument against their 'charges are fair' statement.
    - This time they write back offering a refund with the £12 difference.
    - I sent another letter thanking them for their cheque but write that I am continuing with the complaint and want the rest.
    - I then hear nothing for over 28 days. This time I write back threatening further action without further notice.
    - I receive a letter apologising for the delay, enclosed a cheque for the remainder refund. It took a while but it was worth it.

My advice, keep at it. And go for the whole amount.
