Hi all
Does anyone know the addresses to request credit card statements from either of the following banks.
Mint
Yorkshire bank
There seems to be so many diferent addresses!!
Thanks for any help0 -
well i sent my letter to mint requesting a list of all my charges on 16th april. I got a letter back on monday dated 18th april with the list and my £10 cheque back. The total amount of charges comes to £344!! I knew i had been charged a fair bit didnt realise it was that much (credit limit was only £400!). So i sent the letter asking for my money back yesterday first class recorded. Dont think they will be so quick and willing to send me my cash! With the interest added it comes to £374.63 which would be a fantastic boost to settling my hsbc credit card! I havent as yet received my list of charges from hsbc or ge money. Monica xx0

Hi - was interested to see your post, and am wondering where I went wrong! I wrote to the Data Protection Officer at Mint on 10 April (also enclosing cheque for £10) to ask for details of charges on my old Mint account which I closed a couple of years ago. To date (23 April), haven't heard a dicky bird.0

Have mint cashed your cheque? I remember at the end of the letter it states that they are allowed 40 days to respond. Did you send your item recorded delivery? I sent mine recorded 1st class and you can now check online and see the signatures to prove the letter has been received. That way, if 40 days goes by and their is no response you can write back stating you know for certain the letter was recieved and inform them that they have breached the data protection act (or something along those lines, feel free to correct me anyone if im wrong!). Sorry i cant be of more help. Hang in their either way they will pay up by the looks of it. I think it must depend who opens your letter as to how quick they get back to you!

I paid my mint balance off on 14th april which was at its limit of £400. I asked if any charges were to go on to the account interest to be added etc and i was told definitley not as i wasnt over my limit. I settled the balance and closed the account. On 16th april i sent my letter to mint requesting all my charges be sent and i got a list totalling £344 to march 2008. I have since sent the letter off requesting they repay me the full amount plus interest (my bargaining tool).
This morning i receive a statement adding a charge of £12 for being over my limit in february/march (which i paid immediatley) plus interest. The total amount they want me to pay is £16.82. I rang them this morning and asked them to waive the charge as i have settled my account and it is closed and was closed before the charge was applied. The bloke was adamant it was a valid charge and that i have to pay it.
Can i write to mint and ask that they add this charge to my list or do i just have to pay it despite checking when i closed the account that no charges were to be added? I am so angry and cant help but feel that it is out of spite of me reclaiming my charges that they are doing this.

hi
add it to your claim. sounds like there just being spiteful as your reclaiming.
borgbaiterclaimed/settled - Natwest £2,535/£2,535, HSBC visa £80/£80, MBNA £1,258/£1,258, capital one £282/£282, tesco visa £515/£515, HSBC visa £140/£140. HSBC £1,450 MCOL Stayed for OFT case. Chelsea Mortgage charges & cashback £5000/£672. complaints with banks pending OFT Halifax £30, A&L £35. TOTALS £11,325/£54820 -
so next question is do i send them a letter of my own stating what my new claim is and why or do i wait for them to send me a silly offer (like they appear to do all the time on the mint thread) and reply refusing it and saying 'oh and by the way you also owe me this' but in different wording obviously!
Many thanks

Hi all!! Hope your reclaims are going well.
As you know im currently in the middle of a reclaim with Mint. I am claiming £356 in charges and have asked for £30.64 interest. They have offered me £34.56 (the difference between old £20 charge and £12 plus £2.56 interest) which i told them i would accept as part payment without prejudice but would pursue the rest of my claim.
As i accepted over the phone i need to do it in writing also. Do i use the template letter or write one of my own stating this and that i would settle for the £356 minus the interest. Also if i send the template letter and then go via the FOS rather than MCOL do i have to inform them of the change?
Many thanks
Monica xx
PS as you can see i tend to go off on one so any suggested wording for said letter would be very much appreciated!0 -
