As above, I know they are part of RBS so do I use their Data Protection team address to get copies of my statements/charges list or has Mint got their own?
thanks0 -
i sent my SAR to the southend on sea address which is at the top of your statements.0

Mint fees £240, with interest reclaimed £304.63
2.5.08 £96 difference refunded – accepted without prejudice – further letter issued
28.5.08 £7.68 (said to be 8% interest on what they’d repaid) – accepted – further letter issued
9.6.08 £139.53 credited to my account – further letter issued
20.8.08 £16 credited to my account which ‘had been omitted previously’
I’m still £45.43 short – do I chase it up or is that just being greedy? :cool:0 -
Hi I claimed for charges from Mint a few months back using template letters from site & received full amount within about 6 weeks.
Hope this helps.0 -
Hi, I read through all 6 pages on here yet the same question remains unanswered. So many people have asked for the address that you need to send your first letter to Mint. So far all I can gather is that it goes to the Southend address yet that is all that has been said.
My problem is that I don't have any of my statements because from a few moves I have packed things away and cant for the life of me find them. I've managed to get my Natwest CC statement but as for Mint I dont know where they have gone.
Could someone please post up the full adress to send my letter.
Thanks so much in advance0 -
you would think these companys would learn a thing or 2 charging people 12.00 for a letter,I received one about 3 weeks ago from london mint office, i get the limited edition coins for my boys collection, any how the letter said late payment, they got the cheque in december, and they had the nerve to charge me 65.90 for an admin charge so i phoned them and asked did they use the same machine for the letter as they do to make the gold limited edition coins, she wasnt a bit happy and said ill have to pay or it will go to a collection agency i said bring them on.what a joke

My partner received a letter from MINT stating her credit card had gone overlimit and she had been charged £12. Not having used the card that month and having a direct debit in place to pay the minimum amount she could not understand how she could have gone overlimit.
On phoning MINT she was advised that technically her account had gone overlimit at midnight and the direct debit payment had gone through 20 minutes later. The MINT operative was rude and unhelpful and initially refused to refund the charge, and only rescinded when my partner said she was in the throes of reclaiming all the credit card charges unfairly applied to her account.0 -
IIRC, Mint collect the direct debit so the failure for them to collect the payment in time is not your partner's fault.
If it was a standing order, then they may have a point but with a direct debit they control the date.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Something's not right here. Although interest accrues daily, it is charged to the account on the statement date, not the payment due date (which is a few days prior to the statement date).
If she hadn't used the card between the last statement date and it's respective payment due date then I can't see how she could have gone over on the date they say she did.0 -

I'm pleased you said that because I thought it was strange.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
