Would you sell DD's old toys on ebay for new ones for Christmas?

You would need to read the whole thread to see that this is not what the OP was doing, it has been explained (at great pains! lol). See post #47 for example.0

What a foolish comment.
You have no clue what some of us have had to do.
Just because some of us didn't agree with the OP does not mean we have not had our share of tough times and tough decisions to make.
I certainly am not foolish, a long way from it in fact. I suggest you learn how to communicate without name calling. It hints at aggression and lack of maturity. Aggression because you do not agree with what I say, and lack of maturity because name calling is the only way your intelligence allows you to express this. With love, POSR0 -
I read that it's jack wills stuff and tbh that stuff is so over priced and always goes in the sale, so why not skip that stuff and say you'll go on a trip to the shops in the sales and she can have a look around Jack Wills herself? or go to the outlet store or look at the online outlet store. If she wants a jack wills hoodie/polo you can't tell the difference between current and old stock unless you've got a catalogue in front of you!
I can't believe I'm suggesting this but what about Hollister? It's like Jack Wills but a bit cheaper, more er "prestigious" amongst the kids too!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

I am very clear about what money belongs to us and what money belongs to our son. We are selling a travel system, high chair, travel cot, clothing etc - that money is ours. However, anything that has been bought specifically for our son, the money is his and goes in his bank account.
I wouldn't feel easy buying him Christmas presents (from me) with his own money.
Hope you manage to sort it out in your own head!!

Sorry, but I don't see what you are doing as any different to the OP. People are just splitting hairs here.
I don't understand this part of your post ''We are selling a travel system, high chair, travel cot, clothing etc - that money is ours. However, anything that has been bought specifically for our son, the money is his ''
Did the travel system, cot and highchair not get brought specifically for your son then (as you say this money is yours)? That stuff sounds like it would belong to your son, as much as a toy would. With love, POSR0
