Barclaycard 11% cashback application problem

Morning All,
Am new to this so please be kind. I've been trying unsuccessfully for over a week to apply for the 11% barclaycard deal,the online application process is hopeless as I keep getting the same error message, I've spoken to Barclaycard and they have acknowledged that there is a problem but say that this particular card is only available online. Is anyone else having similar problems also when you go directly to their website there is no mention of this card.

In terms of the online application process itself, it does have glitches, but if you can get as far as being accepted through the online application process, you can do the actual card registration etc (once it arrives in the post) with the Indian call centre - I failed to get them to understand that I wanted to do a balance transfer, but am happy to do a £250 one online - minimal difference in cost terms.

Same here got the card with no details in the small print re the 11%, but when i called the call centre (tel 01604 230230 if u want to get through from a mobile without using ur free mins :-) ) confirmed the 11% promotion. Done a £100 balance transfer, set up the DD.0

Same problems as most of you here. Applied on 18th but web site kept crashing phoned all weeeknd to be told their server was down but eventually managed to apply. Offer still on as of Tuesday and received card today. Activated it but was told no 11% cash back so asked to be put through to a supervisor. Explained that I didn't care when the offer was withdrawn as when I applied it was for the cash back. After a very long time I was informed that actually my card did have the 11%. So don't take it for granted that your new shiny card has the offer and don't take no for an answer if you applied online ( only way to apply for this card) and the offer was still available even if they say it was withdrawn on 18th. Obviously realised their mistake in making this offer!!0

Similair scenario for me, I applied some time last week and never got a confirmation email stating I had been accepted/rejected but came in this evening to an acceptance letter complete with card. No mention of the 11% cashback in the T&C's so phoned the activation number where the gentleman said I would have to activate the card before he could tell me the benefits it was entitled to. On completion of activation he confirmed I was entitled to the 11% cashback provided I transfered a balance of £101 which I did.0

Applied online on the 18th. Accepted immediately and card arrived today. No mention of the 11% cashback and the Reward programme doesn't sound like what I applied for. I thought they'd sent the wrong card and phoned them up.
The chap said it WAS the platinum card I applied for but the offer was "not applicable" to my card. He said I would have to speak to the applications dept and as it was gone 8pm I'd have to call back tomorrow.
That's when I came on here and read the experiences others have been having, so at least I'm forearmed when I talk to them. Following the link others have given above I have taken screenshots of the offer page and the terms and conditions, so I'll be able to quote them verbatim.

So, I got a call at work today from a pleasant Indian call centre chappie, who took some details and said that my application was currently being processed, and I would get a decision in a couple of days - slightly surprising, since the website said that I had been accepted.
Lo and behold, when I get home there is a Barclaycard ready and waiting for me. Seems that this is not the best co-ordinated operation ever!
Anyway, I will call to activate today and see what happens on the cashback issue. Have a feeling that it might be worth recording this phone call ...

Can someone explain how best to use this card i assume to make it worthwhile you only put minimum balance transfer on card and do all your spending on that card till the end of the year .
What if you wanted to put a lot more on the balance transfer how would it work?
Just so i don't mess it u.
I have been accepted or at least i had a text to say i have not sure if i am going to have to check i have the offer i signed up for.
Trying to work out how to use this card to its best advantage.

I applied online last week and was 'referred' to check if I could be accepted. Then lo and behold yesterday my new platinum card showed up but as with other people no mention of the 11% cashback deal. I rang up today to activate the card armed with the information above from other people, but was pleasantly surprised by the service. Although my original balance transfer hadn't gone through, I did it again over the phone, and had confirmed immediately that the 11% cashback will apply on all purchases before 31st December and I would receive the cashback in February. No problem! Maybe they have trained their staff overnight...0
