Barclaycard 11% cashback application problem

Hmm, I applied yesterday via the website where it still clearly stated the 11% cashback offer - and was accepted.

Do they not have to honour that??

Anone who has succeeded might just be worth copying and pasting the wording of the 11% terms and conditions (see earlier in thread) as a separate document.

I'm not suggesting that Barclaycard would remove the page and then renege on the offer to those who have already been accepted, but, well, accidents do happen, eh?

Didn't take a printout at the time, but the webpage showing the 11% cashback offer is still there, so I've gone back and taken a screenshot showing today's date. Let's see what happens ... when I make the activation call, I'll post the response that I get here.

I wouldn't worry too much over what one call operator has said especially if it doesn't tie up with reality.

I have just phoned Barclaycard as could not find the 11% offer on their site. The offer has been withdrawn, it was only available for a limited time.

Will have to be quicker on the uptake next time!!

I've noticed they have been a bit slow getting bits out.

I have had my card for 3 days but still no pin so I can't use it. Just phoned them and apparently pin was said on the 18th - need the pin for this weekend so we shall see if I get it in time for a trip I am taking.

I received my Platinum card today and no mention in the paperwork of the 11% (up to £100) cashback but some references to Freedom reward. This left me confused.
I've just finished a very long phone call to a Barclaycard employee with a strong Indian accent to activate my Platinum card, do a balance transfer of £100 and set up a direct debit to pay the full amount of credit each month. He confirmed that I am now eligible for the aforesaid cashback.
It does look to me that Barclaycard are not giving publicity to the 11% cashback in the paperwork with the card.
However this http://www.barclaycard.co.uk/personal/credit-cards/platinum-0-interest confirms the cashback information.
