Barclaycard 11% cashback application problem

I applied and received my card yesterday, as others have said no mention anywhere of the 11% cash back offer as part of the terms & conditions or on my newly set up online account. So I emailed them to ask and received a completely useless reply about balance transfers which in no way answered my question... not filled with confidence here! I guess it might only show up on a statement?

I have just received my barclaycard platinum and when I phoned up to activate it they confriemd the 11% cashback as advertised

I just called up to activate my card and they said that the offer had been withdrawn by barcalycard yesterday. I asked him why and he said he hadn't been told. Has anyone else been told this? Pretty annoying, wouldn't have signed up if it wasnt forthr cashback.

You've probably been misinformed - it has been pulled for new customers but I expect if you applied during the promotion you will qualify.

Same here applied on 17th, been told its with the applications dept, could be up to 10 working days.

hi, just called the Platinum customer services number (08009177277) and i got confirmation of the cashback up to a max of £100 on all spending up to 31st of Dec.

I spoke to a couple of people before i managed to get this confirmed and also provided the CS person the web page with the offer details (seems that they are not too organized)

Its confirmed that the deal is on though.

Phoned up 5 minutes ago and spoke with a total numpty. In the end he confirmed the 11% card offer had been withdrawn on 18th November 2011.

Nothing lasts forever...
