OMG busy day today - Mr LW wfh, so dins eaten at midday - Shepherd Spy, with enough made to feed us tomorrow night also.
Also made carrot'n'orange cake for his lunchbox, and a loaf in the BM.
Been into town this pm for my morphine supply; also booked tickets for 2 things at the theatre in March - you now have to take your DLA letter to prove entitlement before they give you wheelchair users discount, so we had to zip home and fetch the letter. Luckily my filing system works, so I knew exactly where to lay hands on the letter.
Done most of today's list, including my best attempt at the challenges, but I'm not marking off all of Level 2 yet as I'll go round with the Dettox tomorrow when Mr LW is back at work (OK it's not Dettox, but the same stuff under another name):D
Oh, I nearly forgot, I washed 21 hankies this morning.

Monday Pollyanna Day
Let’s try to start the week in a really positive way. If you have never read the book Pollyanna then you’ve missed a real treat! If you have you will know the idea. Today I want you to play Pollyanna:
Pollyanna's philosophy of life centres on what she calls "The Glad Game", an optimistic attitude she learned from her father. The game consists of finding something to be glad about in every situation. It originated in an incident one Christmas when Pollyanna, who was hoping for a doll in the missionary barrel, found only a pair of crutches inside. Making the game up on the spot, Pollyanna's father taught her to look at the good side of things—in this case, to be glad about the crutches because "we didn't need to use them!"
OMG! How to be glad about being in agony.... OK, I can still force the really bad arm to do stuff, so it hasn't won yet! There!:rotfl:

Sort through tuppawear. Do you really need all those empty pots? Are you missing lids? All checked (most is currently in use!!) The two trays (from the Chinese, about seven years ago – the last time we had a takeaway, which was when a “friend” of Mr LW's invited himself over and I refused to cook) without lids are used to grow mustard and cress on the windowsill. All others are in good nick.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

I am very glad that I finish late on a Monday as my DH gets in before me so I had my dinner cooked and he cleaned up afterwards. Even more of a Pollyanna moment, I am breaking in some insoles in my shoes to try and rectify a problem with my foot, I hadn't noticed I was pain free until I took my shoes off earlier and as my foot got back to normal it got sore...I am very thankful to my physio for finally working out it was my toe that was the problem rather than my heel!
Tuesday Go outside Day
I want you to spend 10 minutes today outside (or looking through the window) enjoying the season. Look at the birds, the beauty of the plants in your garden even those which are stripped bear. Whilst you are out there see if there are any evergreens, seedheads, berries which you will be able to use for Christmas decorations. If you don’t have a garden then a brief stroll somewhere close by would be good.
Not sure I will finish early enough to see anything but will make sure DH and I go out for a nice walk together tomorrow evening

Monday dates
Advent starts next Thursday, have you got your calendars or candles? – have scented candles (non-advent), I’m too old (30) for an advent calendar.
Check this link for last posting dates for parcels and overseas mail and all other mail. – posting xmas cards on the 7th Dec.
When is the last date for ordering your turkey? – veggie, but also going to mum’s
Can you book an online delivery slot yet? – go to ald* for my food, no deliveries sadly
I'm now intrigued by yule LW I've heard people mention it but I'm not really sure what it's about. Is it to do with the solstice? I went to stonehenge for the summer solstice and was amazed by the energy.

Good evening
i am feeling very positive todayI have just signed contracts for a new child to start tomorrow, 3 days a week after school :j that is the 3rd enquiry I have had in a week!! She is 11, so will not be hard work, just somewhere to come for a few hours after school so she isn't home alone. the mum seems nice, so hopefully it will work out. I have my new 15 mo starting on Wednesday aswell
That's not really a Pollyanna moment, as it's positive anyway
I cleaned up the kitchen this morning, but when i went to cross off the list I had done the wrong jobs! Doh!! Still, the kitchen looks clean anywayI made soup, and a childminder friend came round for lunch. So that was nice
(I told you I was feeling positive!)
I am going to enjoy tomorrows 'go outside' challenge. I think i may use my free afternoon to take the dog to the woods/nature reserve.
Christmas challenge:
Monday - need advent calenders, haven't got anything to post abroad, I don't order a turkey (I just buy a crown/breast joint as we are not big carnivores) and I don't do an online shop - so just calenders needed.
Tuesday - I have a dress - but I need to try it on (I fear it may not fit), nothing else applies.
Going to check my uni email now.0 -
Ooh - just thought of a Pollyanna moment!
DH is working every night, so he is never here, but I don't feel guilty studying at night when he is here, and I see him during the day instead :j
Does that count?0
