    Hi all

Oh dear, I've kinda lost this morning; left shoulder was so bad as to make me scream in pain this morning, so I had to have an extra dose of Oramorph at 06:15 (on top of the usual one I had at 05:15) and also lie down after Mr LW left for work because, trust me folks, being in that sort of pain tires you out!:(

No matter - the arm hasn't fallen off yet!:rotfl:

I'm now intrigued by yule LW I've heard people mention it but I'm not really sure what it's about. Is it to do with the solstice? I went to stonehenge for the summer solstice and was amazed by the energy.
    xx
It is indeed the Winter Solstice - the rebirth of the Sun, when the days start to increase in length. Some see it as a battle between the Oak King (who rules the Light) and the Holly King (Dark), with the Oak King taking the crown at the Winter Solstice, and the Holly King regaining it again at Summer Solstice, when the days start shortening again.

If I were to do it all properly, I'd decorate the bungalow with evergreens (I do have some re-useable stuff;)) - holly, ivy, mistletoe, that sort of thing, and make a Yule log, but I just don't have the spoons to spare for a lot, and in any case, there's only me and Mr LW, so it seems a bit of a faff just for us, iyswim.:o

If you're interested, Damh the Bard did a song about it - "Noon of the Solstice" which I've managed to find on YouTube.

AND I can earn another star by watching my birds for 10 minutes ...which I love doing - there's Harry Spadger and his mates, one of whom is called Mavis and is a bit of a thug; then there's Doug and Dora Dove, and last but not least Freddie Fatbelly. ( And those of you who hadn't already guessed that I am a tad eccentric, now think I'm a complete headcase ;) hehe)
Well, I must be too, then;:D I have the bird feeders placed where I can see them from the sofa, and we too have our regulars: Sparrow Squadron, Walter Pigeon, Bobby Robin, and a plethora of various tits.

Now, I must stop listening to Damh the Bard (one of my favourite artists);) and go find today's list.:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Good afternoon :D

i have been working this morning and I am now free 'til 3pm. I should be either flying, walking the dog or studying - but what I really WANT to do is have a little snooze :o They laid on a big breakfast at toddler group, so I may utilise the time I would use for lunch for a power nap :p

Then I will hoover through downstairs - promise!!

Lame Wolf - (((gentle hugs))) and healing vibes to you. Nice to know I'm not the only 'eccentric' flylady ;).

During my HHP, which turned out to be 70 minutes P., I completed the application form and cheque for DS's racing license 2012; sorted out where I am with my rent....4 weeks in front :D;and completed a Christmas catalogue order which included my Christmas cards, wrapping paper, gift tags, plus two presents...phew....I actually feel like I'm getting somewhere :) esp. as rent thingy was a bit of a frog.

I've sat and watched my birds as requested byDusty. Freddie brought his Mrs and a young un, which made the bird table wobble a bit lol. I think Harry Spadger must have known he was going to get a mention on flylady 'cause he brought far more mates with him than usual; and Doug and Dora Dove were their usual unsociable selves. Santa is bringing me a new birdtable then NN can have hers back - I borrowed it after my old birdtable collapsed.

Decided to put another load in WM so that's merrily swishing away. Got to go to JobCentre for 3:45pm - so I'd better get myself sorted. See you later xx

    Monday Pollyanna Day
    DONE

    Tuesday Go outside Day
I want you to spend 10 minutes today outside (or looking through the window) enjoying the season. Look at the birds, the beauty of the plants in your garden even those which are stripped bear. Whilst you are out there see if there are any evergreens, seedheads, berries which you will be able to use for Christmas decorations. If you don’t have a garden then a brief stroll somewhere close by would be good.

I've done my best with today's list and challenges:

Bird feeders and water bowl checked and replenished; garden observed (and leaves that need raking up carefully ignored as I need Mr LW's help with this) whilst I had my lunch – Lord Magpie was on the patio and looking in the door, cheeky wotnot!:D

    Preparing for Christmas Challenges:rudolf:
    Tuesday outfits
Check any outfits you need for parties over the festive period. Do they need cleaning, check buttons and hems. Do you have the shoes/bag/accessories to hand.
Have you got to prepare a costume for the Christmas play?
Even if you are not going out for Christmas could you wear a favourite outfit at home?
N/A – I don't attend parties. Polite excuses at the ready, for the unlikely event of me being asked to any. Buttons and other minor repairs get done as they occur – instead of being put away after washing, the offending garment gets put on top of the sewing box, where it will annoy me, so it gets dealt with straight away.;)

Monday - kitchen and dining room
    Level Two
    Wipe the work surfaces
    Done
    Dust any flat surfaces
    Done

Tuesday - Living Room, Hall and Stairs, downstair loo
    Level 1
Vacuum through the living room, hall and stairs
    Done over weekend (Mr LW):A
    Level 2
    HHI
There isn't any – Mr LW cleared it on Sunday,:A he does it every week as I can't lift the ironing board.HHYoga done instead:o
Give your cushions a good bash outside (exercise those bingo wings)
Tried, but it was too painful an exercise with my shoulder playing up.:(
Clean the downstairs loo and basin
Done – we only have the one bathroom,:D and there's an A-frame of wet washing over the bath, so just the loo and basin done today.:o
    Level 3
Clean the mantel or coffee table, re home things that don’t belong here
    Done, though nothing needed re-homing.:o
    15 minutes on a hotspot
No hotspots, so did a general dust/deweb;)
    Wipe all the remote controls/phones
    Done

    Declutter Mission:

Sort through all the clothes hangers in wardrobes, ironing basket etc. Do you have more hangers than clothes? Get rid of any you do not need.

All our hangers are in use; in fact, I have several instances of 2 skirts sharing a hanger, and Mr LW has a similar situation with shirts/trousers, as we actually are a little short of hangers!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
