Hugs Mudders - so sorry to hear that.

Hope everything turns out okay Hellyboo.

I've got to go and pick DD up at 4 and then go out again at about 5.10 to Beavers and Cubs. I'm waiting for a call from Mr Ts as they've overcharged me on some stuff but because it's quite a big refund the store has got to deal with it or something.

  • so far today have done a little flying. have been out most of the day, went to metro centre, had lunch at tgi's (ashamed to admit i couldnt finish a kids meal, but it was :money:as usually i would have gone for starter and main but instead only spent £10 as had £20 of vouchers :D) then went to costco and got a few bits in. had a funny turn in costco so taking it slow this afternoon.

am a bit annoyed at myself as i carried flash spray with bleach in from the car and it leaked over me. so my favourite going out outfit is now ruined with bleach splashes. got it in the washer straight away but its a dossing round the house outfit now.

DH has emptied his cabin bag for me and also emptied and loaded the dishwasher for me. sides need wiping down and floors need doing, but they will get done before we have dinner (leftover tuna pasta). load of blacks almost in the washer as just need to gather some bits from upstairs.

Im off for a HHP as am going to sort out some paperwork (procrasinating) and then go for a HHC and start to pack my hospital bag.

    hello everyone

I've returned DS to Uni...with his Advent Calendar :) ...and clean dry washing. He made me a chip butty for lunch - it's his chef's special :rotfl: (microwave chips bless him)

Zippy I think some of DS's Hall mates have heard the 'if you don't find a house early, you'll miss out' spiel. However DS has now been reassured that this isn't true....and has strict instructions not to sign anything legally binding!

I've just taken the bins to the gate ready for the binmen tomorrow.

Pollyanna moment: I have a wonderful articulate happy and healthy DS that I've just spent the weekend with. NN has just brought round some lemon drizzle cake ...she felt the need to feed me :rotfl:

Happy birthday seafarers wife xx :bdaycake:

Hugs to Mudbath and Decko xx

    Love to all xx

    Personal Challenges :starmod:

    Monday Pollyanna Day
Let’s try to start the week in a really positive way. If you have never read the book Pollyanna then you’ve missed a real treat! If you have you will know the idea. Today I want you to play Pollyanna:

Pollyanna's philosophy of life centres on what she calls "The Glad Game", an optimistic attitude she learned from her father. The game consists of finding something to be glad about in every situation. It originated in an incident one Christmas when Pollyanna, who was hoping for a doll in the missionary barrel, found only a pair of crutches inside. Making the game up on the spot, Pollyanna's father taught her to look at the good side of things—in this case, to be glad about the crutches because "we didn't need to use them!"

Didn't manage to get any college work done :o

Popped to the charity shop round the corner as they are closing down and got junior millionnaire, game of games and stay alive board games for a pound each!!!

Mum coming in a bit to do something on the internet and hopefully I'll get some college work done then.....will just have to type it up myself!!!!

I spoke to the se. up the school (head was busy sorting out what staff is in and who is not for strike day.....I don't work Wednesdays due to college) and she said I should go for it..........Happy days :D

Hope you have all had a good day xx
  • 2 x HHP done, just about to do my shredding and will then leave the filing for another day. have got a list of what to take to hospital, but now having nightmares about it not fitting in DH's cabin bag. I always pack the kitchen sink when going away even over night so trying so hard not to do that this time.

You just don't need a ton of stuff. Not for that sort of overnight do :D

If there is a possibility you could end up staying a couple of days, then shove two changes of clothes for yourself, a packet of babygros/vests, a small pack of nappies and some gloves (it's cold today :)) in a carrier bag by the door. That way, if you do have to stay longer, DH just has to pick up the bag.

You can do fine with one change of clothes in your hospital bag. Baby, maybe 3. Socks and frillies are unnecessary, a vest, babygro, blanket and hat will do - so take 3 vests/gros (as the meconium can be a bit _pale_ when that comes through) and anything else can be brought as needed. The other stuff doesn't really take up that much space.

I have vacuumed and swept all downstairs (still not mopped past the shower room, but that's been done so many times recently that I'm going to hit the foundations at this rate).

Cleared and cleaned the main counter.

Cleared and cleaned the top of the WM and TD.

    Scrubbed my butchers' block.

Put a pile of random stuff that wouldn't fit into the DW into the sink

    Cleaned the hob.

Cleaned the cupboard fronts, appliance fronts and oven door outside.

Cleaned out cats tray again. But 4 days without any nasty packages on the shower room floor [crosses fingers and ]

    Fed cats again.

Chased Minion upstairs with all her gibble and clean washing.

Taken up all my clean washing.

Emptied the bins and again and got the cardboard in the right recycling box in the dark :j

Cleared stuff off sofas. (98% Minion's)

    Brushed long haired cat.

    Cleared up longhaired cat remnants.

Minion is off swimming, I'm packing up to go to the club tonight to play and I shall see you all later!

    xx
