Am currently waiting for some sort of statement/letter to arrive to see whether I got charged by HSBC. Will update when it comes.

Letter came today - NO charge for wire transfers with HSBC :).

I have been doing to crowd sourcing with ABH and finally reached the payout amount. I can't find anywhere to submit my Paypal info and presumed they would be in touch buts its over a week since I reached the amount and I haven't heard anything. Am I missing something obvious?

Hey Lex it maybe they wont pay out until the normal pay date they use for paypal for the other projects which is the 1st of the month. I think they use the 3rd friday to calculate what you are owed and then pay it on the 1st of the next month.

If not that then I'd pester them and see what's up

I've just applied for the evaluator position (is that the right name), anyway not the crowd sourcing. At the end once I'd submitted my application I clicked the link for transcribing and did the test which I passed.

Does that now negate me from another role? Or can I do both? One last question, how long before you got any work?

    Thanks!

    Hi 925dancer,

I have just completed the qualification process. From filling out the form, to passing the final assessment it took just under 3 weeks.

This was for an evaluator role though, not transcribing.
  • Hi there,

I received an offer from my job site for the post of Web Search Evaluator. I filled out forms, registered, passed pre screening test. however they told me i did not meet the rating for WSE. so they offered me to work on crowdsourcing. I signed agreement for the same.
    my questions:
    1) what is the difference in the pay when you work as a WSE or a crowdsourcing consultant?
    2) what exactly do you do in crowdsourcing?
    3) is ther eenough work for crowdsourcing?
    4) i have cleared linguistic test as well. can i work as a transcriptor as well?

Hi. Unfortunately nobody on here will be able to answer those questions due to the NDA we have all signed. You will probably be better off just putting them in an email to ABH

So I am now a crowdsourcer bod for definite. I am no clearer on what's happening with transcribing and evaluating, I sent an email asking but haven't had a reply but at least I'm signed up for something!
