  • Something seemed to click after the last time we had to test again, but I have no idea what changed!

If you're who I think you are, you've been doing really well too! You'll be back soon :)

    Hello,
I had a problem with ABH: I found some tasks in My Marketplace and I started them but did not finish, the remaining hits went in My HitApps.
Today...there were not anymore in My HitApps...
    Why does it happen?

    Thank you in advance....:(

...that's because the tasks that appear aren't just for you to work on but for everyone that has passed that particular qualification test so if you don't finish all those hits someone else will...

On the plus side though, well done on getting some crowdsourcing work... I've not had any for about 2 weeks now!!

once a certain number of checks have been done, that could be why your numbers are better but are showing red.

Of course!!! I remember reading this but had forgotten - that makes things much clearer. Glad somebody was paying attention :T

Sorry to hear about your situation MallRat.

I've only worked with ABH for a few weeks, but am learning to live in dread when it comes to all the reviews.

I'm really grateful to have the job, and at the moment it's working okay, but I hate the fact there are no guarantees, and it's almost impossible to properly future plan, because at any time I could be placed under review, or removed.

I also think having no 'proper' colleagues makes things harder, because it seems you're pretty much on your own.

As I say, hopefully I'll manage to keep the position - and I'll certainly do my best, but can understand the stresses and frustrations for sure!

If I do lose it at any point in the future, I'm pretty much without income, which just adds to the overall stress levels.

Well, have just completed my re-qualification test. After first of all being met by an Error screen, I only got 5 out of 10 on the first 10 questions, but somehow managed to recover a bit to end up with 20 out of 28. Pretty sure I was only one off on the 8 I got wrong as well. SO stressful!!

    Thanks, and welcome!

This week has certainly been one of the worst, especially with only managing 2 hours before the ban got enforced! Before it didn't happen till Tuesday, so you could still get your full hours done on the Monday at least.

Have you worked for either LB or LF previously?! Certainly think they could make it a lot easier for us, for example by having webinars like the ones they do at LB, which were sort of like a Powerpoint presentation with loads of rating examples. I only attended one of ABH's online meetings, which was basically just a weird question and answer-type thing with people talking incoherently through microphones. Not what I had expected at all - I actually had some kind of panic attack, which then resulted in me slamming my laptop shut about 15 minutes into it... :embarasse :D

(Not sure whether if I'm giving out too much information here - can always edit if so... :))

    Thanks for the welcome :)

Yes I have previously done work for LB. When it comes to comparing them I am in two minds.

Personally I think the training and support is much better at ABH. The qualification process was certainly better - far more materials given, opposed to just a PDF file at LB.

ABH though are certainly much stricter once you have qualified, in terms of hours, performance etc.

I like having a guaranteed 4 hours a day in many ways, in others I really don't. The big advantage is that unlike LB there aren't major outages in work, but at the same time, having guaranteed hours is only good if you actually get to work them, and aren't constantly being pulled out for review...which ABH certainly seems prone to.

There are also days I struggle with 4 hours, and enjoyed the fact LB had a minimum working week of 10 hours, which could be completed at any time during the week with no set working times.

Communication at ABH also seems far better. LB would just not reply to emails, or take an age and a half to do so, whilst conveniently managing not to answer the question you'd asked anyway...

This said, I understand completely your point regarding the lack of webinars, which although I found to be seldom at LB, were useful. I wouldn't be inclined to attend the Q&A voice chat, and find them lacking in accessibility, because unlike a webinar/presentation, if you can't make the time set, you can't participate.

I certainly have mixed feelings on the whole thing. Yes it's a great way to earn money if it all works out, but having no stability, or guarantees makes things difficult.

I also kind of feel quite removed, as it is essentially me sitting in a room alone for 4 hours. I do sometimes wish for some work-based human contact.

Saying that, I do appreciate the flexibility - as long as the hours are completed I can work as and when I want, and since it's all done at home there is no commuting etc.

Assumed the email would definitely be in my inbox this morning, but no, nothing.

Nope. The last time I got removed back in June I did ask for some clarification, and they just sent me a spreadsheet with all my audits on, which obviously wasn't that helpful as I'd seen them at the time anyway.

Am going to send them an email now to try and find out what's going on, I think.
