Do not ignore a private parking ticket - from 2013 onwards things changed in England/Wales. If yours is Parking Eye then they are suing people and so are some other PPCs.

You must appeal and with current forum advice, you will win at popla - we win 100% of appeals in 2014.

Please click to page one of the forum, get off this old thread. See my signature below for where to click to read current advice. Please read the NEWBIES thread at the top of this very forum.

Did I say STOP reading this ancient thread, NOW??!!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • Will post the letters as I start to get them, only just happened so I await with bated breath!!!

    Thanks for the info!

This entire scheme and everyone involved in it (Private Parking) is based entirely on the premise that the average member of the public does not have a decent grasp of civil law. Understandable, I guess.

They then set out to mislead people about what they are entitled to try and charge them ('fine'), and their legal position with regard to (rightfully) resisting payment.

They are happy to simply sit back and bank money that they are not legally owed from people who don't have sufficient knowledge to realise they are being conned. The whole thing relies heavily on the British public's in-built guilt and fear of authority or being 'in the wrong' when it comes to the law.

    They are scumbags, basically.

  • Hi all

As promised, I've uploaded the next communication I've received in regards to the CareParking fine I got at Cheshire Oaks. This time it has come from a solicitor :o

    Read it here...

Any ideas on whether I should still be ignoring these, or whether a response to the solicitors is now best?
:j Only just realised there is an IGNORE button to filter out narcissistic trolls :j

Sorry, I'm confused. Are you the OP using a different login or is this one tacked on? If not the OP I would suggest ignoring but I can't find the original posst. You can see why its best to have a separate thread for each topic.

No it was not me using a different log in, it's someone else.

I haven't had anything else since I last posted.

None of my letters from CareParking (from Perry Bar One Stop Shop) look the same as Jacks.
  • The solicitors letter can be safely ignored. It doesn't change anything.

Interesting to note how the letter isn't personally signed, just signed with the name of the company. I wonder if Michael Sobell works there. :rotfl:

You can see why pepipoo do not allow hijacking it gets confusing and the advice meant for the OP can be given to someone else in error. Glad they have given up with you.
