Just a quick thankyou to everyone for the reassurances. It's always good to hear solid 1st hand experiences and appears that my question provoked some discussion bringing this thread to a few others attention.
I've decided not take any action this time (no middle finger letter) not because I don't have the cahoonas, but because this is the first time for me. I will sit this out and let it ride... Next time tho I will definately be sending the middle finger letter to have some fun
I will keep you all posted, and scan copies of the letters in as they arrrive, as it appears the last one I scanned contained some new developements;
- SAE to appeal
- threatens to impose a charge for "failing to name the driver"
Hopefully, most will see it as "the more information the better" and not just re-hashing old posts. Thanks once again :T:j Only just realised there is an IGNORE button to filter out narcissistic trolls :j0 -
Threatening to impose a charge for "failing to name the driver"? Jack, that was the principal reason I collected almost £1,000 damages from one of these parasites- it is a totally illegal threat and to make it is harassment! Are you sure you don't want to hit them where it hurts???0

Ok I have received a new letter, one I was not expecting from the previous patterns. It says the debt has now been passed on to Zenith Collections. The original letter was from Care Parking (who are part of the Anchor group). They then sold the debt to Debt Recovery Plus Ltd. This letter is from the Anchor group saying it has now been passed to Zenith Collections.
It also has another reduced payment offer (to avoid the expense of possible legal action) and says it is the only time they will be offering reduced payment (which is funny as the last letter was a reduced payment offer too.)
Shall be ignored too. Just letting those in the same boat know what to expect as Care Parking have not been around long.
Ps. I know it isn't a REAL 'debt' or 'fine'. This is brought up all the time. It is more convenient to write debt or fine (which is what the letter says) than having to explain it's not a real debt or fine every time I want to use the words debt or fine :-p0 -
It isn't a "debt" at all.
Part of the "Anchor" group? Cockney rhyming slang?0 -

As discussed the other day here, ignore the fact this is about UKPC as all these scammers use the same threatograms:

Zenith are part of Debt Recovery Plus, same company details, same signature even for apparently different imaginary staff members! :rotfl:
Do not ignore a private parking ticket - from 2013 onwards things changed in England/Wales. If yours is Parking Eye then they are suing people and so are some other PPCs.
You must appeal and with current forum advice, you will win at popla - we win 100% of appeals in 2014.
Please click to page one of the forum, get off this old thread. See my signature below for where to click to read current advice. Please read the NEWBIES thread at the top of this very forum.
Did I say STOP reading this ancient thread, NOW??!!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for letting us know Kitty... Sounds like another last ditch attempt to get hold of your money..0 -
I'm a bit behind you Kitty in the Care Parking letter chain so thanks for letting me know what to expect! Up to press I apparently owe them £150 plus £2.50 surcharge. They can whistle. I'm sorely tempted to take on the robbing barstewards but haven't had the more threatening letters as yet so I'm ignoring for now.
Just to warn others reading this thread - Care Parking also operate the White Rose Centre car park in Leeds.0
