Fingers crossed, those cheeky beggars don't deserve a penny of my hard earned money. I'm choosing to go down the ignore route... Thanks all for your advice & help :j0 -
Everyone, thanks for all your contributions as my disabled mother-in-law got a PCN today from Care Parking for parking in a bus lane at the Perry Barr One-Stop.
Thanks to this forum I am confident in telling her to ignore it. :j
BTW - Care Parking is also Anchor Group Services.0 -
I am really glad have read your site -every fri for years i drop my husband off to meet his brother at one stop perry bar birmingham-both my daughter and i have had very formal looking parking charge notice - I thought it was a penalty charge notice -complete with camera pictures -also date was 06/01/12 not posted to us til 15 and 20 feb -as some one stated earlier bus lane is part of public highway -I was all set to pay -thank you all-also if i pay presumably because i park there every week in a taxi drop off area I could end up paying hundreds -needless to say i am going to avoid this shopping centre -surely there is a way to warn people and stop this unscrupulous practice ?0

Nothing more yet so I'm hopeful that's the end of it. I did see this in the newspaper though about cab drivers fighting the company. Same company (Care Parking) and same place I got the fine (Perry Barr One Stop Shop).
Care parking said this:
"A spokesman for Care Parking said parking regulations applied to the bus lane, which was private land. “These regulations have been legally introduced by the landowners and we enforce them on the landowner’s behalf. There is no question of unauthorised or bogus activity taking place.”0 -
That article started so good with bogus fines, then it descended into a pile of misinformation. Wish we could comment on that paper to right the inaccuracies on there.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
What it needs is for the journalist who wrote the article to get a ticket there, they might research the matter a little more thoroughly then.0

Ive got a ticket from ukpc has anyone know what should i do ive had about 3 letters from them, now its gone up from £60 to £150
And the last letter quiet frettening... So i not sure should i keep ignoring them or should i not??? Confused!!

Thanks Dan0 -
Hi Dan, if you have been ignoring you have been doing the right thing. They raise the stakes, but they are bluffing. Keep ignoring, and the amount will drop to something more reasonable.
Like £0.00. After they realise you are not a mug who will fall for their scam, and go away, never to return.
They send you frightening letters because that is the only way they could get any money out of you, as their claim isn't lawful so they cannot enforce it in court- no matter what they may tell you.
Even if they wanted to chance their arm, the driver is the only one they could try it on, and you are not going to tell them who that was, are you, since there is no obligation to do so.
Sit tight Dan. They will go away. I know because I have given the finger to over 80 of these FAKE tickets including 3 or 4 from UKPC.
Keep what they send you as you may be able to sue them if you want!0 -
Do not ignore a private parking ticket - from 2013 onwards things changed in England/Wales. If yours is Parking Eye then they are suing people and so are some other PPCs.
You must appeal and with current forum advice, you will win at popla - we win 100% of appeals in 2014.

The reason they use threats is because that's all they have! Luckily the threats are empty, and the only thing they have to try and relieve you of your cash.
Carry on ignoring them, and do as Coupon mad says read the stickies on what to expect next!0
