The solicitors letter can be safely ignored. It doesn't change anything.

Interesting to note how the letter isn't personally signed, just signed with the name of the company. I wonder if Michael Sobell works there. :rotfl:

'Thomas Higgins' is a new solicitor jumping on the PPC debt collector bandwagon then. Jack if you could just send each letter in a pm to Crabman each time rather than adding it to this thread it would be best.

Then Crabman can add your letters under the Car Parking Ptnrship on the top permanent sticky (info) thread where they will stay for posterity and to help newbies.

Do not ignore a private parking ticket - from 2013 onwards things changed in England/Wales. If yours is Parking Eye then they are suing people and so are some other PPCs.

You must appeal and with current forum advice, you will win at popla - we win 100% of appeals in 2014.

Please click to page one of the forum, get off this old thread. See my signature below for where to click to read current advice. Please read the NEWBIES thread at the top of this very forum.

Did I say STOP reading this ancient thread, NOW??!!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry, I'm confused. Are you the OP using a different login or is this one tacked on?
Apologies - wasn't meant to "highjack" a thread. I have posted previous in this one, and got responses, so thought it was fine once again to do so as I said I would keep you all updated.

Coupon-mad - thanks will PM Crabman as suggested.
Give them FA - No problems and thanks again.

I now have another solicitors letter - this time threatening CCJ's if not paid in 7 days. I've forwarded the letter again to Crabman for upload... (can be seen here http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/1744/careparking125.jpg) Should this be the last I hear now, or can I expect yet more?

The CCJ worries me a little :(

It might worry you if it was real. Do you actually owe them anything? No chance. So they know they can't sue you in reality.

Threatening is all they do, and to be fair, a lot of people do fall for it.

Just don't be one of them.

Do you think this will be the last I hear or can I expect more letters or visits?

Impossible to tell, it depends on how desparate they are.

They cannot just 'get' a CCJ though, that happens at the END of the court process (and even then only if you still refuse to pay up) and given that they are not going to try court (they have no case) then the CCJ remains a figment of their imaginations.

They can't just get a CCJ, they would have to take you to court to get it. At the moment their threat of a CCJ is as effective as me saying to you that you owe me £100 for posting on MSE.

Oh yes, sorry need to advise you, Jack, you owe me £300! Did you not read the notice which quite clearly states that by posting on MSE, you contractually agree to pay anyone who replies to you £100 a time?

Best pay up, Jack, you don't want me to take out a CCJ against you, do you?

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Are you beginning to see how RIDICULOUS it all is?? Or do I need to send you a letter from a phoney solicitor to get you to pay??
