£12.98 spent last night in Morrisons. I got some lovely fresh pasta reduced to half price, so that's my post-Fat-Club treats sorted for a couple of weeks :D I also bought some split peas as I'm going to make pea and ham soup this weekend.

The rest was stocking up on essentials like fruit and bread, and buying Mr F some tuna. He thinks he prefers branded tuna but it was £6.99 for four cans of branded (!!!) and 88p per tin for the own brand. Guess what he's eating this week? :D

Now at £107.15/£200  15 days till payday and my January budget though ;)

    Happy December Everyone :j

Well, I've spent £1.17 on eggs & 2 tins of kidney beans in L!dl (MUCH cheaper than the main supermarkets), and then a further £34.66 at Mr Ms on essentials (whisky & wine mainly :rotfl:). Grand total £35.83.

Still can't do a freezer shop yet as I STILL have food to use up :( Had a long powercut yesterday evening, and hoped it might have defrosted itself....but no :rotfl:

    Have a good day, folks!

I'm so raring to go with my new debt busting/frugal enthusiasm that I'm torn between wanting to spend so I can start my spending diary, and wanting NSDs! Obviously the latter wins but I want to start *stamps feet in frustration*

Must remind myself that simply by having planned my meals so as not to spend money that I have already started ;)

    Hi all

Could I please set £328.47 for this month? Managed to come in budget last month but have had to reduce this month due to massively overspending on EVERY other budget I have. I am still quite confident I can do it though.

    Thanks

Well the fun bit in starting the new month in that diary is to put NSD!
Thinking of diaries now is the time to get a spending diary for New Year. It may be a part used exercise book, a cash book, and old unused diary frm a previous year(just cross out the days)you may not have to actually spend money on it! My favourite is an A5 size which I try to pay about £1 for unless I get given one. Lots of companies do give them away so start asking your friends and family. It is also a nice cheap gift if anyone wants to buy you one!
I put a line down the middle of each page of mine for a non food budget and a food budget as I keep them separate. I also keep a running total all thru so I total the days spend and on the next day write c/f £PP.PP(carried forward) this save time consuming adding at the end of the month and stops me going astray. I've just looked at the "demotivator" as I hadn't seen that before http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/protect/demotivator/#demovtop
and I am pleased to say that I can't find anything to put in it to calculate!:D:j:j:j
