I love my panasonic breadmaker!....I did have a Morphy Richards for years but was never happy how the bread cooked so i used to only use the dough setting...but now i have lovely loaves in my panasonic BM!

I have had a BM for 11 years now and i wouldn't be without one. There is a massive thread somewhere on this board re panasonic breadmakers, but make sure you have a cup of tea and loads of time to read it as it really is a big thread if i remember rightly lol

my panasonic died and has just been replaced , as i couldnt cope without it , i havent bought shop bread / naans/ pizza etc since i had the machine it was in constant use for 4 and half years

it was still kind of kneading the dough but not baking it and i was ending up with bricks despite changes to flour / yeast etc ( thnk it was the heating element )

i'm only sorry i never got it from costco as i think the machine there would have had a 5 year warantee i may have got it replaced but i still feel have had more than my moneys worth out of the machine
  • £110 for December please. This is to cover my partner, me and 2 chinchillas. December will go from the 1st to the 31st. Hoping we won't spend more than £100 but as it is Yule this month I am not going to give much hope on that.

Mr A shop = £5.88 (which is good as it should have been £9.57)
    Co-op shop = 94p
    Total = £6.82

    Budget - £110
    Spent - £6.82
    Left - £103.18

Sorry guys, just need an off thread rant.

DH has just called to say he is on his way home from work and he hasn't got the internal job he went for  Boss said his ideas were too ambitious!! He has slogged his guts out to prepare for this interview and you can bet your bottom dollar that his ideas will be use. It happened a couple of months back, he went for an internal job and was told he was not ambitious enough < rolls eyes> and the guy that got it is relying on him to support him and he is implementing a lot of DH ideas, go figure.

I am just so fed up with that place ATM. He is working all the hours Gods sends to be used and abused by everyone and not getting to see his family much. Thank God for the holidays.

I've adjusted my total, had Mr T's yesterday. Stocked up on all the basics for the month plus the freezers are both almost full. Also our local shop was selling off just over date irn bru at 60p for 9 cans so I've stocked up on a few packs for Christmas :D

Spent £11.29 at Mr T mainly on vegetables and YS mince and smoked haddock (lasagne and fish pie here we come). Should take me through until next weekend. Currently got Ox cheeks from Donald Russell in the oven and popped a couple of potatoes in to make use of the oven at the same time. Menu planning done up to next Friday so am happy with that.

Will be shopping again this weekend - going to prep and freeze stuffing, cranberry sauce, spicy red cabbage and par boiled pots for Christmas day. The only problem may be finding space in the freezer.

  • £200 aim for December please - this is to take into account Christmas nibbles and booze, and I have some vouchers to put towards shopping this month. My freezer is full as I batch cooked loads the end of last week, and had some reduced bread and bagels so they're in there too. Off to meal plan my entrire month now... Small pleasures! :rotfl:

Spent £3 on a late lunch today with a friend (will count it because it's food) and then £0.02 to pay for some stationery (rest was paid with a voucher I got from doing surveys).

Am only going to include cash and credit card purchases where I haven't used a voucher or will not get refunded (expenses). Also used a voucher to pay for something at Boots but there was no additional to pay.

That leaves me £3.02 down today.

  • I have had a NSD today, which I'm pleased with as i thought my addiction had returned with a vengeance! I've shopped the last 5 days in a row...

Must tell you about my bargain in te$co though. I went to the reduced section (of course!!!) and they had the big packs of lean mince down to £2.25. I didn't pick any up, as I have mince in the freezer, and I don't really want to put any more in there. I did keep popping back though, in case they reduced it any more, thinking I'd get some if it went to £1.25 or whatever would be next. Anyway, they never did reduce it again while I was there, but on my third visit, they put three massive pieces of pork on the shelf. I was the only one there at the time, so I had a good look and picked up the best one. Three and a half kilos, £2.07!!!!! I chopped it into three bits when I got home and froze them separately. That means three roast-and-lo-sandwiches, about 70p each!!! That is maths I LOVE!!

Anyway, nothing I need tom, so hoping to make it til Sunday before shopping. Famous last words!!

    PG x

ps - Is a panasonic breadmaker really that much better than all others? I have an argos cookworks cheapy one at the moment, and not feeling the love. Is it really worth buying another one? Help please!!
