You have to remember, this Government have just let 10 million people walk through out borders with no checks whatsoever.
They will do ANYTHING to fudge the dole figures for just another month, then the figures can be seasonally adjusted (fiddles) for another 3 months and by then they might have thought of another scheme to find one of their "backers" some more free labour provided by the tax payer.
The only difference between the last lot (labour) and these lot is cameron and clegg are far more brass faced.
At least brown had a human side.

Lets face it, there was only one reason the MP's refused to allow us a referendum on the EU was because they were frightened we would vote to leave the EU and therefore cut-off the supply of cheap, Eastern European labour that the firms they are directors of, rely on to keep the costs down.

I know what being unemployed is like. I lost my job in April 2010 and it took until April 2011 to finally get back into work )albeit as a temp on a long term placement). I used to joke that I had most of the stuff that the unemployed have, like a flat screen TV, broadband, smartphone, laptop and Ford Focus. The only things missing were Sky TV and a Staffie.
In reality however, it is hard having to watch every penny, not put the heating on and only go in to town on signing-on days in order to save fuel in case of job interviews. trust me, I've been through depression and out the other side all because of losing a job I'd had for 16 years because our parent company decided to move us abroad.

I was speaking in general some people wont take a job because the ammount of benefits they get are more than what they may get working.
You generalised that all people on jsa were like that. I assure you if you live with family and are single you are bottom of the pile!
  • There was this article on MSN this morning from the office of National Statistics it said the unemployed were 2.6 million, amount of people working just short of 30 million and economically inactive adults just short of 10 million. This group includes those who dont sign on, the sick, 16-18 years olds, people supported by partners etc.It doesnt include kids or pensioners or those in prison etc.
So in real terms the unemployment problem is absolutley staggeringly dreadfull. Even the job centre say how bad it is at the moment and they usually are trying to push you into anything, not anymore theres nothing to go for!
These stores that get people to work for their dole, scumbags basically.I hope they get robbed blind by their exploited staff!

No I am not? Why would you say that when its untrue? I would claim JSA if I needed to.
    you have said

'Why should everyone else who pays taxes contribute to these people being so picky over their jobs.'

    &

'what is the reason for not taking a job? there are plenty out there?'

You says people are out of work because they chose to be and we shouldn't be too picky because you pay taxes but would be ok with claiming jsa yourself but surely you wouldn't need to as there are plenty of jobs out there!

It may take me a month or two to get a job... in that time I would have to claim.

  • i suggest you went to the british heart foundation shop or something similar. these shops help the jobcentre by letting people work there via a volunteer type agreement in return for experience and a reference so people can move on to better things. they all provide counselling and help to these people. would you begrudge this??? It is not exploitation as volunteers ask for this help...Check your facts

Yeah I thought the same unfortunately it didn't work that way since if you haven't noticed employers are being far more picky than usual.
